Exactly. You get the T because it’s a special package. Not because you can save a relatively small amount of money compared to an S or a GTS. If you don’t *get* the ethos of a T, best to skip it and leave it for someone who does.
The ethos is gone when you start eliminating options unique to the T.
Your build makes a lot more sense. It is one thing to option out a T adding things like carbon roof, full carrera T interior, rear axle steering(you understand what the car is meant to be). Its another thing when you remove and skip all T specific options, even down to removing side decals.

Why do you care what other people get? Porsche lets people customize so no one has to get a build they don’t like.
For me the main benefit of the T is the responsiveness of the base engine, manual, the torque vectoring, option for RAS and other mechanical elements that aren’t available ordinarily with the base engine. Personally I want to dress it up with a bit of luxury and elegance, whereas others prefer a more minimalist approach.
It really spoils everyone’s enjoyment of the process of configuring and waiting when people get so upset about how others are choosing to spec their cars.
Since when did we collectively decide the slightly larger turbos on the S and GTS make them unresponsive in comparison to the base 3.0? As someone who's driven both, I find that to be false.

From the reviews I've seen, that's generally been the consensus. Same displacement, but larger turbos to spool up so more lag. Obviously still the faster and more powerful power plant, but the smaller turbos lead one closer to a naturally aspirated feel. Having not driven them back to back (and having not even really noticed a great amount of lag in a 991.2 GTS), I'm not sure that's a make or break decision.
I'm undecided on them myself. Were they very difficult to remove? Was there any damage? Maybe I can spec them and remove them if I find it isn't quite my taste.

3M adhesive remover. Spray on, let it dwell, easy peel off. They had to come off for PPF anyway, I just didn't have them order new ones to replace the originals over the ppf

I’ve never seen anyone refer to the S and GTS as unresponsive, simply that they have slightly more turbo lag. You’re making it sound much more negative than I think anyone intends.
