@C4SNY,

You mean wiring for these is already present in the 992, so you just plug in the illuminated ones and tape them in place?

How hard was it to remove the old door sill guards?

Am I correct that you need to drill holes into the bumper to install these? How many holes?

How do you think these girls impact the appearance of your car? Do they make the car look better, do they detract from its appearance, or do you think it makes no difference?
One hole. Can't see the hole at all. Would have preferred the grills have been made from a honeycomb ABS vs the black shiny steel as I'm not a huge fan of the look. I also didn't get the full front as I thought the center one looked odd. It's not overly distracting and helps mitigate a potentially expensive radiator damage repair.

There's a video in this link to see the install (select whichever model you have as it depends on your grill which you need).

Why didn't you get the RGS covers? Theyre exactly what you described...Black honeycomb.

They only have these for the 992 (and don't make any for the C4S model with stock grill).

Called to ask and they confirmed they didn't have it and weren't planning on making then unless they received a bunch of asks for it.

What front plate bracket is that? Factory?

Assume so. Bought the 2020 used and it already had it installed.

The new sills come with wires - you need to add the pins to a plug. It took me about 30-40 minutes to remove each sill and install them. The only time consuming part was removing the old adhesive with a plastic scraper and cleaning up any residue. I pulled off the old sills easily as I didn’t care about bending it.

The instructions posted are dead on. Just need to realize where to insert the new pins. The new pins attaches to the bottom plugs for each side. No way to really mess this up, just need to be patient and take your time.

I did this on my previous older 911s and it required splicing wires. This was the cleanest install.

Thumbs up

So far so good. This is a very slick way of charging the phone in a 992. I get some people don't want to give up there Cup Holder but with the Manual its essentially useless unless your putting an 8 oz Bottle in there. If your a big phone guy then you would likely lose access to Seat Heaters but with the Mini there still easy to access.

Not cheap at 160 or so but stays in place and does what its supposed to.

I designed and developed both the Side cup holder and the Magsafe Insert for the 992! Happy to help out anyone that may be interested. Unfortunately "Nine Volt" there stole my designs and sells a similar solution for much more.

Can't help but think some rounded corners on the outside of the bracket and NOT a wing nut would help prevent any accidently scrapes if a passenger bumped it.
