It was for testing.

It does get hot but it won’t melt plastic. The black rubber bumper will likely melt first if it ever get too hot, but I will set it on the ground when charging.

I was thinking of that, but what I noticed is this. I have the 7-speed 2024 Porsche 911 Carrera T, and the auto start stop only kicks in when I'm in neutral and clutch out, so as long as I don't do that I'm good... I'll leave it for now, but I have the option of having them modify my config to add the feature in the future as needed.

Went to my first PCA event and got this along with other stuff in a goodie bag. (It's a sun shade)

Subtle little bump on the aerokit wing.

same here. but I drive in individual now, it has auto start stop off and auto blip on.

I like the idea of the valves open only in sports mode. mine a daily city/suburb crawler and prefer it being subtle in the sound department unless needed

I like it. Did you do it above or below the PPF? I went below the PFF for two reasons. Protect it, plus it gives a subtle 2mm border around it which I like. Plus I added the matching hood PORSCHE stripe as well. I felt it complete the design theme.

Haha. Mine is also a daily driver. I leave my neighborhood in NORMAL mode (eliminating old start is a must for me), and then once down the hill, I switch it to SPORT... I just need my valves open at 100% when in SPORT...

Connection tested and all good.

Its out of the way, and yet convinient for quick connect. This will save me a lot of time from removing the cover and using the traditional clamp
With your set-up you have to leave the hood open, if you route the pigtail through the back of the cover and lay the connection up against the base of the plastic below the windshield, you can leave your hood down and your cover on.

run pigtail through where the white arrow points and lay it against the plastic where the green arrow is.

Yes I thought it through, both location you mentioned is not good for me.

If I place it on location #1 (your green/white arrow), run possibility to get soaked if if ever got caught in rain while driving or parking. Or even when washing the car.

If I place it on location #2 (I've seen others do this), every time you are taking the big panel cover off you need to unhook the eyelet for the "CTEK comfort connector". The capped connector is too big to pass-through those vent openings.

Opening the hood its fine for me given the alternative, as once it is connected I can close the hood (unlatched)

This is exactly how I have my pigtail routed for all the reasons you mentioned. Looks great!

first thing i asked my SA when i took the delivery on mine is how to setup “individual mode” and turn off the auto stop-start in that mode. I was driving in the “individual mode” as i dont want my drive home to get annoyed by the stop/start feature

That's why there's a cover on the pigtail connection, snap it closed and leave it. I've washed my car and driven in rain like that and afterwards, checked to make sure it was still able to connect and take a charge-no problem.

Exactly the same setup and results here - never a problem one.

This looks fantastic! I love the silver with the ruby neo. I was close to getting ruby neo...looks so clean with silver accents. But looks just as good if you wanna black it out someday for a different look. I put mine on top and ceramiced over it. I suppose that's enough protection. It's not a daily, so it shouldn't get too roughed up. And it allows me to change things out easier if i want a different look...like the pillows in the living room. I've been thinking about the hood stripe, but I'm not sure with my color it'd look as good.
