I bought the kit from eBay for center tach and chrono for around $180. I can find the seller if you like but think they all sell from the same supplier. Install for the center is sure doable but
a bit more involved. The center we had to do twice as we did not properly align the needle the first time. The kits from eBay actually are fitting well and look surprisingly good in quality.
How does it look with dash lights on? Reason I ask is that I ordered the red center for the wife's Macan and the thing looks a diffused pink as white light through red gives that color. Gross, which is why I didn't order it for the 992.
So the entire pad needs to be pried out to access the clock, then the clock itself is removed? Is the backing of the colored ring to be peeled off or placed in situ as shown in the picture with the white plastic in back?
as an aside I’ve had both good and bad fortune with overlays.
I installed an overlay on an Audi TT and after pulling off the speedometer pointer using the spoon method it stopped working
I just installed an overlay on my BMW 135i no problem and it looks great !!!!
it’s actually not an overlay but a replacement of the exact same part on the OEM. That surprised me too. It’s basically the OEM dial panel just with different color.

as I said, there is nothing to peel …you take the clock apart and replace the OEM dial which has all the same features as the OEM.

this was after partially reassembling it but you get the point. The aftermarket is exactly what is shown as OEM just with yellow color.

wow, maybe try a different one - there are a few or ship to close by RL member and get it shipped to you. I could do it but I am in Fl and that might add too much shipping cost…btw, changing the instrument color and exhaust are my two favorite mods …one you can’t do but stare if when driving and the other you can’t do but hear it all the time.
(PS: now that I said that the ambient light upgrade is maybe third now that it gets dark so early)

Anyone can find a link for a red sport chrono ring (no lower or mini clock) please let me know. Out of interest, I installed a red bezel on it, would adding the red face be overkill?
Needed to be painted as the original red was a cross between red and orange.

what would be really impressive is someone adding sport chrono to a car with out that option ....although taking apart your dash does take ..... _ _ ll's
