I took his/her statement as a form of comparison, “sold my e46 M3 and bought a Porsche since BMW...” Apples and oranges. Maybe he wasn’t comparing that specific car to a 992, just the entire BMW brand. Cool.

My original delivery date was 6-11. I then noticed it got bumped to 5-28 right around my freeze date. Today is my schedule production date and I noticed the delivery date got bumped again to 5-21. I have a lightly optioned (~$11K in frosting) C2 on order.
Anyone else experiencing delivery dates being bumped up?

it took about 24 hours to see a change in TYD after submitting a change to the dealer.
unlike most on RL, I've found TYD to be pretty good. There was mention that TYD only updates on Friday, but Ive found it to update almost real-time, including vessel departure. Now currently "on vessel" and watching the "distance to porsche dealer" decrease hourly, which seems like TYD also has vessel tracking.

my car is also in port, not showing on the boat yet. The ship just got to port a few hours ago so I’m sure that they are busy loading cars. Curious how long it takes to load her up. My car shows a 4/30/21 delivery to dealer in Fairfield CT. I think it will be sooner!

oh, and I was supposed to get my car by the end of March/beginning of April and despite cashing my deposit check the dealer “got confused” and didn’t put me in the build slot they said they would. Still a but aggravated but a First world problem

Anyone know what's going on with the Siem Confucius or Halifax (Port)?
It looked like it was getting in a little early on 3/26 Local time, but switched to 3/30
Vesselfinder has not showed it's true position for the last week.... unless the cheap free version that I'm looking at just wants me to pay
Port congestion?
