Doug, It's a long wait for sure. I could have had a 2021 C2 allocation with delivery in June/July, but after a lot of consideration and some very helpful comments on the Forum, I opted for a manual transmission (Every one of my Porsches have had manual gearboxes), and the next available S allocation was the 4S that I ultimately went with. Since I'm moving from PA to CA, I wasn't really looking for a 4, but I took what was available
Let me know how you make out on the driveway. I have quite a while before my build locks, so any info will be helpful. As for the premium package, for some reason Porsche decided to include ventilated seats, and since Sport Tex seats and ventilation are incompatible, the premium package isn't available if you order Sport Tex. I had to go a la carte with the premium package options that I really wanted.

and - even in CA, I bet you will enjoy the AWD - especially on those rare days it rains.

After putting a deposit on a Turbo S Cab in 8/2020, I got tired of waiting for an allocation. Additionally, I realized that I did not in any way need that much power and that I would, in fact, like to retire someday. So I now have an accepted order for a 2022 Carrera S Cab:

My car is now on the Siem Aristotle. I have spent so much time over the past few months deliberating over options and looking at my TYD app twice a day. This process has been all encompassing. If all of the sudden there was a delay with my order, I would freak out or go in to a deep depression!

There is either a lot of traffic in the port at Davisville or the Bishu Highway has managed to hit an iceberg (too soon for Titanic humor?). Either way, it’s been in the same spot for a couple of days.

You now have me wondering if I should change the wheels to exterior color (Aventurine Green) instead of gloss black. Pretty subtle difference on the configurator.
