Haha yea same here. I was thinking this doesn't look like the route shown on TYD! I assume the vessel's carrying all US bound cars and the SC stop is for the east coast cars.
i guess that's possible though it is a change from what i understood to be the usual ports for east coast bound cars according to the VW export schedule here. i am sure we will learn more in the weeks to come! good luck with your wait!

Kind of unusual.... The VW Group does not have port processing facilities in Charleston. I suspect this vessel is carrying a mixed load and is going to be picking up some BMWs for export from the US.
Rcc Classic arrived in Baltimore yesterday. TYD has not updated the status of my C2S and I have not heard from my local dealer (Porsche Bethesda). Has anybody else on Rcc Classic heard anything?

According to fleetmon, the RCC Classic arrived in Baltimore this morning. TYD updates at the end of the day so late this evening or tomorrow it should reflect that. After that, TYD can be very inaccurate. A post earlier today indicated TYD showing 'port processing' when the car was already at the dealership.
I had a Cayenne that arrived in Baltimore last month and completed port processing and was released for transport the same day. No guarantees, but in the absence of any complications it seems that Baltimore is processing cars pretty quickly. Your dealer should be notified when your car is assigned to a truck for transport.

My car was on Siem Plato and landed at RI. It has been in port processing on TYD since Thursday of last week. However my sales associate just sent me pics of it offloaded at his dealership!
So that means TYD isn’t always dead on. Additionally he said that the TPMS issue is peculiar: he has a customers Panamera held up but my C4 wasn’t held up. Not sure what to make of all that but I’m sharing.
yay!
May I ask which state you live in? My car was on the Siem Plato also, I am in upstate NY but my car has not arrived at the dealership yet. Nice looking car by the way, enjoy.
Wow, ok I guess...haven't thought about deposits with multiple dealerships. Guess I just don't get it...I'm not going that route. You honestly think tracking down 4 other dealers for refunds will not be a hassle in addition to a tad unethical? Wonder if the dealerships would accept the deposits if they knew you were doing that? Not saying that you are wrong, think many of us are quite frustrated by the current state of things, just I hadn't thought of that, nor would I personally do that. I found 1 dealership I liked of the 20. They don't have a allocation, but I trust they'll eventually get one. I mean honestly folks, we act like we are dealing sometimes with organ transplants here or the last spaceship leaving a doomed planet, lol....we'll all get cars in time, porsche doesn't want to not make a profit from us. 😀
Besides Porsches being in short supply it seems scruples, integrity and honesty maybe hard to find too.

This. A dealer wouldn’t think twice about screwing me over even after 20 years of loyalty. Why should I feel bad about 5 deposits at 5 different dealers (I didn’t need to do this but wouldn’t judge anyone who does as I would if similarly situated).
Honestly, the whole delaership model needs to die. It’s a relic of a bygone error where large scale customer facing infrastructure was unfathomable expensive.
