09/09/2022: 50th Birthday. Midlife crisis begins.
10/24/2022: $2,000 Deposit placed with Dealer. For 718 Cabriolet.
02/09/2022: Change order from 718 to 992310 (Base Carrera Cabriolet). SA said it would be a shorter wait for allocation.
06/07/2023: Received Commission # from Dealer for a MY2024 vehicle (status listed as V070)
...a month later still no update in status. Starting to think SA has been stringing me along with a promise of an allocation.
You say you have a commission #? Have you added it to your My Porsche account so you can track the status yourself?
If I missed the Confucius again I’m going to be disappointed but knowing I’ll soon have it helps a bit. My build was completed April 20th. First world problems for sure but this car was originally scheduled to be here mid May.
Late April to port. Confucius is not for certain now since my TYD didn’t update.
So you're about a month ahead of me.
Edit: Or Not!! I just got the same email*, and TYD has updated!
MarineTraffic has the Siem Confucius arriving at the port on 7/16, the last VW Logistics schedule posted here had 7/20, and TYD has 7/21. Doesn't matter since I'll be out of town for all of those dates and two weeks after, but I am curious to see what turns out to be correct.
(* The first email I have received regarding TYD events. I guess deleting the car and then re-adding it fixed whatever was blocking them before).
FYI if your entry port is Davisville, the ship does not travel north above Scotland, it'll travel southwest through the English Channel and then straight west to 'Murica.
