That's fine as far as refusal goes, but I still wonder what the timelines are for a reasonable expectation for something like battery or tire replacement before picking up the car. Sure, these might be covered under warranty, but if battery failure or tire performance issues are likely, why put myself in the position of having to deal with them after taking possession when it would be reasonable to expect Porsche, through the dealer, to address those ticking time bombs before taking delivery?
The car should be in an uberlow power draw mode so I doubt the battery will be an issue. Two/three months sitting isn't an issue too. Think about all the cars that, pre-covid, used to sit on the lots. With that said, it wouldn't hurt to bring it up with your SA and see what they say/can do. I'd love to get my Pirellis swapped out for for some new P4Ss for free!
Does anyone whose car is arriving in Baltimore have a Torture Yourself Daily step 08 date earlier than July 14th? I wonder if the 7/14 date that most of us received is a buffer for a voyage on the Siem Confucius or if there is truly another ship leaving Emden that day that doesn't yet appear on the schedule.

The dates are meaningless. Earlier in this thread you'll see multiple people reporting that over the weekend their "left the port date" changed to 7/14, only to then get emails on 6/27 that their cars were on a boat. And I've had my "left the port" date changed twice, once 10 days after it had passed and once 4 days after it had passed. So your car might load before the date, or after the date, or after several missed dates. Like I said, once you get to step 7, the remaining dates are meaningless until you're actually on a boat.

Agree with all of the above. Look at this paradox the TYD map shows the ship headed East over the UK and I did the whole drill to track the ship online and the route is through the SW portion of the UK close to France….go figure

The route across the ocean is not accurate and has predefined longitude and latitude coordinates in the page code. I’m not sure when and how the placement changes but all the coordinates are there. It’s almost like it averages out 20-30 days of travel on the water and triggers the next longitude and latitude entry. #weird
mine’s headed to north west SC and I’m going through Jacksonville, so I’d imagine you’re going through the same port.
Greenville? That’s my local dealer but I couldn’t get an allocation there. I ordered through Hendrick in Charlotte and it’s at Emden now also going through Jacksonville.

Yes, sir! Been an absolute pleasure working with my SA John over there. I’m right outside of Charlotte and kind of fell into my CT allocation.
