Has anyone who previously negotiated an ADM at the time of placing the order later re-negotiate the deal when the car finally arrived, given the market has changed over the past several months?

As you say Sunshine Ace will be there next week so hopefully we both make it on that Vessel...I think the "being in the dark" on this process is making it irritating for soo many of us...I think I hit refresh at least 25 times a day hoping for updates.
All I know is that it will get here eventually and we'll all have many miles and years to enjoy it.
My SA is telling me my 911 GTS should be going on the Lake Wanaka. We will see soon!

If you agreed to a ADM, and an allocation was given to you based on those terms, you should honor your word. If it was the other way around that the dealer would have slipped a last minute ADM after agreeing to sell at MSRP Im sure you would not be happy.

There’s absolutely nothing forcing me to buy the car and I could walk away. It’s not the same way the other way around. For example, in California, a consumer who pays a deposit can still walk out and get their deposit back.

I’m just wondering if any of you guys are either paying lower ADM or having the dealer throw anything in like tint or ceramic or maintenance package given the market has changed in the last several months and they wanna keep your business?

Although I agree with your point about honoring your word, in my opinion, a dealership that is charging ADMs doesn’t have honor so therefore, none should be given to them!!

That said. I’m buying the car at MSRP. If for some reason there is spike in inventory and there is room to negotiate a discount, I would not. I would pay MSRP like we agreed, because they did the right thing by me when others wouldn’t.

If I show up with a check and they tell me all of a sudden there is ADM when the car delivers, i’ll tell them to **** off and will go get a C8.

Does it usually take a week to get to “the German port”?

Mine completed manufacturing on 5/23, left for the port on 5/24, and arrived at the port on 5/25.

(Edit: left port 7/5.)

You can always politely ask for anything as all they can say is no. But I would tread lightly. As long as demand remains as it currently is, they could care less if you buy the car. In the current 911 market you have zero leverage and dealer management knows this.

On a side note, one thing I did when signing my paperwork, was let my finance office guy know I would not be buying any additional add ons that they typically go through and then was able to cite reasoning being his boss taking all my extra funds in the way of adm. I even joked that I would be happy to buy a few years prepaid maintenance if he could make my ADM go away. He actually chuckled as I know he hates the ADM thing as much as we do since it affects his ability to up sell stuff.

I'm similarly lucky:

06/19: completed
06/21: at port
07/06 (like ~20 minutes ago!): exited port

Wishing smooth sailing to all of us on Wild Rose Leader, and good luck to the rest of you in Emden!

I think I was extremely lucky as every single step has been ahead of the initial schedule. My SA called me today and told me my car should be in the dealer tomorrow. Here are my dates…
