How close were these dates compared to the original estimates. Mine just hit Stage 3 on 7/26/23, but shows Stage 4 is estimated to start 9/4/23. Your Stage 3 to Stage 4 seemed to only be 10 days though.
Production started 2 days after the original estimate... since then everything has happened well ahead of the original dates. I'll try and find an old screenshot.
Does anybody know what the reasons are for long hold times at the entry ports (ie davisville)? Parts?, staff?, transport?. I have seen threads here with folks who have had there cars there for weeks but with no real concrete answers.

Hey, I don’t know for sure, but in addition to what you already mentioned above, i heard things like quality control and volume. In some unfortunate cases it has been fixing damage, but that’s mostly speculation. Porsche will share this with customers only if the damage is substantial. My car waited in Baltimore for 10 days until getting released. Also the port seems to matter, Davisville is pretty bad. Baltimore and Houston seem to be much faster.
You should strongly consider the freebies, Smoking Package and Storage Package along with larger fuel tank.
Thank you. I did order the Storage package and the smoking package but didn't list them. I don't believe the larger gas tank is available on a cab. Let me know if I am incorrect.

Extended range fuel tank is available on the Cabriolet. I optioned on my new build, but it isn't a free option. It's $230, well worth it in my opinion.
Anyone get TYD notification for departing Emden this morning? A friend did which is confusing because the Patara is still at the dock.
yeah I did, finally! TYD dates updated a few days ago and then got the email this morning that it actually left port. But I see the ship is still at port too but should be leaving today. My SA sent me a message that the car left yesterday. I had to tell him otherwise

Apparently also, per my SA, EPA certification on 2024 models will take a couple weeks or so. My 2024 T arrived in JAX on 7/20, and PEC-ATL offered me a date of 9/28 for delivery (which gives me 8 weeks to sell my '17 718 Boxster S!). The earliest date they had available was 9/19, but my schedule wouldn't allow for pickup that week. So a rough assumption would be it'll spend 3-4 weeks in the port if it is a new 2024 model.
