Official waiting room for those with a new 992 on order --- come on in !!
The last ship to Jacksonville left end of June. Siem Confucius is docked right now and heading to Jacksonville. TYD will update, if you got on the boat, when it leaves Emden. Your 7/3 date is meaningless. I’ve been waiting on a boat to Jacksonville since 5/8, fyi.

I have a 7/1 departing Emdem for Jacksonville. I'm hoping to catch the Siem Confucius, supposed to be currently loading. After a month and a half delay in production, my fingers are crossed I catch this boat.
Please share any updates you get. Hopefully we get through production before the summer break.
On that topic, do you think they finish the cars that are on the assembly line before break, or leave them half finished to be completed when the plant resumes operation?

Burning Brakes
My SA was not lying about the car locking immediately- the next day. I was debating manual vs PDK for this GT3 — asked my wife her opinion. And she adamantly said the PDK - why? Because it is a faster car and isn’t that why this thing cost 1/4 of a million dollars? Plus I do have a 911 T getting delivered at PECLA on July 19th so I will have a manual transmission car in the garage to play with anyway.
and I do like the center mounted normal shifter - rather than the dumb looking shaver gizmo.
no changing back now- GT3 is locked.
also while I paid only ( only?) $40,000 over msrp this will be a 2024 vehicle and the price is up around 7.5% from 2023. I see lots of 2022 GT3’s for sale as used cars but not too many 2023 for sale. Did they build fewer GT3’s in 2023? Or just being held onto still.
my SA told me he has a 2022 I-believe- GT3-RS that he sold and then took back and resold six times since he originally sold the car and it only has around 1,600 miles on the car. Each owner drove it around 250 miles only?
also decided that I was less likely to damage the engine with the pdk instead of shifting and less likely to be distracted when driving it so maybe I can avoid an accident.
looks like most of these GT cars get sold fairly soon by their owners because they look great in the garage and impress other PCA members - but not real comfortable to take on a weekend drive.
Interested in seeing how long I will keep this GT3 actually.
are there other GT3 992 owners that have lots of mileage and or plan to keep the car for a long time? Daily driving a GT3?

You should ask these questions in the 992 GT3 forum.

Other than the F12 method (which isn't working for me ) or TYD (which can be delayed by a number of days), how can I tell if my car is now on the Neptune Barcelona, or if it gets on the Wild Rose Leader when it leaves Emden?
I actually have no idea... seems like a bit of a crap shoot. Some dont see the pics until their car is on a boat.

The F12 method won't work until it's on the boat. And it is using the same underlying data as TYD, it's just a way to see detail that TYD doesn't surface directly. The only other way to tell is to have you SA check his computer.

This is a livery design question — pro or con - on this livery design for the GT3 arriving in September?
This has dark blue and gold theme and allows the shark blue to show through the decal so the lighter blue in the decal matches perfectly.
I use a shop on london that does great work and sends me tlhrse mock-ups. Wheels will be neodyme - or gold.

I guess I got too optimistic - my car's been stuck at the Davisville port since arriving last Monday (6/26) morning.
TYD at that time showed 7/3 as leaving port and arriving to dealer but nothing has changed. I reached out to the dealer on Friday for an update and their system shows 7/7 but warned its all tentative. So my TYD and dealer system's are showing different dates and I assume dealer's is more accurate.
I've read some horror stories where ppl have had their car stuck at Davisville for 5-6+ weeks. Hoping that is not the case with me.....
