GT3RS Allocation Thread
#1891
No one in this thread cares if there are some parts shortages on non GT cars because those are easier to get. Porsche priorities those parts that you mentioned to the higher profit cars (GT and numbered cars).

they have "shortages" of those parts because they are increasing the production on gt cars and using the parts for those. Wouldn't really call that a shortage. And guessing most people buying non gt cars do not even want PCCB or Carbon seats anyway.

Race Car
Ok, well you can’t say there’s no parts shortages when you take options away from the Carrera lineup and also say no one with a Carrera variant even selects those options.
Why would Porsche take those options away if no one with a Carrera selects them anyways?

A lot of alleged facts about Porsche's supply chain and business model. It's a 90B company with ~40k employees. Pretty sure its a little more complicated than is being summarized here :-)

They report earnings next wednesday morning
last quarter they said there were shortages of exclussive parts for cayenne and carbon fiber for gt3rs
if it’s called out on a call, it’s likely somewhat material
this is why there are extra gt3/touring/turbos allocations floating around. Those 3rs couldn’t be built so they added slots for high margin cars that could be built
more 3rs are coming. They are on pace for 50-55k 911 in fy23 vs 40k normal rate.

Allocations are never a problem, money is. Want an allocation today? Can easily find 2-3 if you’re willing to pay 150k-175k over. If you’re looking for MSRP, that in general is nearly impossible unless you’re VIP or have a very tight dealer relationship. If you want 25-75k over, that’s a game where you put your name on a list with a deposit for 2-4 years.

My dealer SM said his Area Rep said allocations coming the end of the month. This jives w/ other "informed" RL'ers have stated. I'm assuming this drop will include SRS' and S/T's?
