It’s so wild reading things like this. I’m a nobody and I certainly am not one of these 100m+ hnw folks with collections. I really think the where you are matters more than anything

all of 2023 was dispatched though, some will even need to be produced in ‘24 - I can’t imagine they don’t do another drop of slots though if manufacturing constraints improve. Maybe a worst case outlook?

You realize you said that about 1.5 years ago when the GT3 came out, right?

And here we are 1.5 year later, and while we are all here relaxing, what do you have to say about ADMs, Nostradamus?

Agree. With some people reporting October builds already we definitely cannot assume there’s a bunch more coming in 2023.

October would be a 2024 model year car and I don’t think anything beyond initial 2023 MY builds have been allocated.

Aside from the 4.0 now being shared with the GT4 RS, is there any reason why they won’t produce as many as they did 992 GT3’s? The fact that they went through the effort to offer 3 different wheel options suggests to me that the production numbers won’t be super low. Allocations should become more available for 2024 MY once the GT3 production has ended.

The more fundamental reason to take a breath and relax is that no one needs this car - it's a GT3 with more downforce, and it won't transform your life if you get one, and your life won't be ruined if you don't get one. Almost everyone who wants this RS already has a GT car which will do just fine as a road and track car. You don't need the fastest car for track days because track days aren't racing and this car isn't a race car; if someone is faster than you, it's ok. I've clearly expressed my interest to my dealer in getting a 3RS, 4RS, GT3, and/or 992 turbo (all at MSRP); if I get one or more of those, it's fine, and if I get none of them, that's fine too, because I can keeping driving the two GT cars I already have.

As far as the ADMs, I don't blame the dealers for selling the cars to the highest bidders. You guys who are willing to pay the big ADMs are the reason why the big ADMs exist, and that in turn is why the guys who aren't willing to pay a big ADM, didn't already a buy a million cars already from your dealer, aren't VIPs, and/or don't have connections won't be able to get one. Porsche could make more cars to bring the ADMs down, but that's not their business model, so they won't. It is what it is.

If that's someone's goal, then yes, they need this RS, or just have to settle for a Ferrari or McLaren. Could also try bringing a Lambo, but that doesn't always go well. Don't even think about bringing a vette if you want cred with the elites.

My dealer (small Midwest) didn't get any allocations yet but I'm still #2 on their list.... so will wait through next year and see what happens. We also have an older, larger dealership that did get some but they were gobbled up by the 918 crew.

Congrats to those out there who got a build slot!

Isn't PTS off the books til 2024?

PTS is currently unavailable for 2023 model year builds for North America. 2024 MY starts next summer and is expected to be opened up again.

Congrats to all who have their orders confirmed. Super jealous!
I put a deposit down but requested PTS so I'll be waiting awhile.
Can't wait to start reading about the order progressions and these awesome cars start landing on US soil.
