GT3RS Allocation Thread
#1876
WRONG, Porsche is building capacity to build more and more cars. They are a publicly traded company now so it's all about revenues and profits. If you don't think they'll build more 992.1 GT3RSs than they built 991.2 GT3RSs you are just kidding yourself. And guess what, they'll build more 992.2 GT3RSs than 992.1 GT3RSs and everyone who got a 992.1 GT3RSs or wanted one will want the 992.2 GT3RSs. Porsche seeing the demand and know that they'll sell every single GT car that they can build. Their goal is to sell more units at higher prices, not limit quantity for regular GT cars (aka non-numbered cars).
Its interesting that Porsche as a recently publicly traded company is largely okay with middleman dealerships charging ADM in lieu of taking further profit for share holders / said company.

Porsche won't dilute the market with GT cars. It seems they learned from the abundance of 992 GT3s on the 2nd hand market. Mark my words, they're more interested in brand strength, values, reputation, and collective margins than they are of selling to everyone who wants one.
You can keep telling yourself they're going to keep exceeding production, sadly it just isn't the case.
Call me wrong, I truly don't care. I just don't want you getting disappointed when you see those MSRPs climb and supply shrink.

You don't get it, they don't have enough capacity to sell to everyone that wants a car because the demand is significantly higher than the supply. So Porsche can easily increase the supply of GT cars without diluting the market. Think of the "demand -1" model that has been talked about on here for years. Of course Porsche is going to keep increasing MSRPs across the board so not a really big shocker for me. I don't care what my cars are worth as I buy them to drive them and not to store them to collect dust hoping they go up in value.
Again..... ok. If you say so. If Posche wants to build more they easily can.

Not really, it costs a lot of money to build production facilities. And Porsche isn't increasing supply now because they don't want to have a glut of cars out there when this pandemic-induced bubble bursts and demand drops, since that would cut into future sales. Porsche is playing the long game because that's the smart way to play the game.

Lastly, I know how many allocations a regional dealer got of GT3 RS's thus far, cant foresee the number being lower than the 991.2 GT3 RS.
