Larger tank and FAL are the only options that are actually needed. The rest are just for show

All you people commenting that FAL is needed on a 992 GT car obviously don’t have a 992 GT car. On the 992, when you think you need FAL and you engage FAL, it drops the very low rear fins to the ground.

What would you rather scrape because it more often, (like 90% of the time) becomes either scrape your easily replaceable front lip or your very expensive rear diffuser.

As far as extended tank is concerned, yeah whatever, so I need to stop every 290 miles for fuel instead of 450. 450 is ridiculous anyway.

And resale, lol. Point of reference the 997 RS cars (which need FAL) without FAL and sport chrono are now actually the more desirable cars.

Anyone able to get the watch now? I haven’t asked, but how does it work, do I have to wait for the car?
My dealer ordered me the watch as well.

He said the entire Belgium market was getting 6 cars and he was getting one of them.

My local Beverly Hills Ferrari dealer received 12 of the 812 Competitione and the waiting list for the car was very long. One dealer in the US alone is already bigger than the entire country of Belgium.

Out of the 100 Top Ferrari clients in the world, my local BH dealer has 12 of them. Different markets, different situations.
I understand, but at least it doesn’t make the car less special!

However when empty, both fuel tanks are nearly the identical weight (I would guess the difference is measured in ounces, not pounds). The Extended tank just gives you far more freedom whether you want just enough fuel to barely make it home (and have sub-3,000 pound weight) or 90 Liters for well over 500 mile range (at boring speeds on the highway).

I would take Extended tank far before FAL. The Extended tank is great to have, unless you never track nor go on road trips well away from civilization (then why have an S/T? ). Also some states and countries have sketchy fuel (i.e. really hard to find Premium in Italy and some US states have low octane or lots of Ethanol - nice if you can visit without having to fuel there).
I guess it depends where you live. FAL is a must here in Cyprus. On Dallas roads everyone said it was a must too and honestly it was not. Lol. Also, in RHD markets it is not possible to spec the extended range tank due to the driver being on the right.

I've slightly scraped my fins twice while using FAL. So w/ a 992 you're damned if you do and damned if you don't. However I do use FAL every day I drive it and it works as advertised, without scraping the fins.

I had 991 GT3 and 981 GT4 without FAL. Never again. Will always spec FAL going forward. The feeling of scraping the front is just awful, I don't care if you can't see the scrape marks unless you look under the car.

On the 718 4RS the rear diffuser tend to be more an issue than the front.

On the 911 platform the FAL is nice to have. Especially such as on the 992 TTS where it can memorize where you want to use it and automatically activate when at that GPS location or approaching.

Congrats! What colour/spec? I'm in the UK and hoping for some good news soon. My dealer had his 1st car allocated a few months back and that car is also in build soon. He is due a second (and last) S/T 'sometime next year' which 'might' be coming my way.....

When backing out of my driveway, I have to leave the FAL down until the rear diffuser clears and then raise the FAL to clear the nose. This dance makes the GPS function for the lift very annoying (I disabled it).

well...dealer offered me an allocation at $100,000 ADM. Before I could even reply, he emailed again saying they received an unsolicited offer of $150,000, and then $200,000 ADM for the car.

To say this Porsche thing has gotten screwy, is quite an understatement.
