Also, if you do scrape up the plastic lip the replacement cost is relatively mild and it's a pretty easy DIY. But some really bad driveways may mean the Lift is the difference between getting up or not (I try to avoid anything this severe, even with the lift).

That's the thing. It's like trying to prove the negative. When I remember to use it, I suppose it worked. But I usually forget to employ it and never really had any cringe worthy moments. If anything, it's the potholes in the northeast that are the biggest problem and can't really use FAL for those. Do you offhand know the weight of the FAL system?

No extended tank (no FAL for last 3 GT cars) for me this time.
I go weeks without filling up and I actually like putting gas in the car and chatting with people.
Anyone able to get the watch now? I haven’t asked, but how does it work, do I have to wait for the car?

How much does fal weigh? Can anyone tell the difference between driving a fal or non fal car?
Anyone know if the black and cognac interiors are materially different weight, seems like the only real change is the gt3 rs carbon fiber door handle in the black interior car

This is really dependent on where you drive. You don’t need the FAL in many places, but it’s very handy in others. If you already have a GT3, then you should be able to answer this question for yourself. How often does it scrape or require the FAL?

I've gotten it previously, admittedly, out of fear since it seemed like a must looking through prior RL posts. Having it now, I don't think it is a must. But I suppose it depends on your unique circumstances. For the S/T, it seems counter to the lightweight ethos.

Extended fuel tank is a no brainer….and one doesn’t HAVE to put more fuel than the capacity of the standard tank if weight is a concern. On trips, the large tank is essential.

This. I refuse to buy a use GT3 without FAL, not out of idealism, out of pragmatism. I drove my GT cars a lot... to work etc. And while routine drives, I could easily do the sideways climb... it's when I take a spontaneous drive and I run into a driveway that looks rap video badonkadonks... giant sides with a hidden valley... that FAL gives me piece of mind that I a) won't jack up the lip and other associated underthings and b) won't look like that dude who has no idea how to drive their car.
If you got the skills to crab walk that GT3 up Sir Mix A Lot's favorite driveways... hey.. hats off to you. Me? I ain't got time to scrape.

The UK economy is nowhere near as robust as that of the U.S.
Not even in the same galaxy really. The last time the UK reported GDP growth >1.0% was in Q4 of 2021 at 1.5%
UK has been flat as a pancake
US Q3 GDP: 4.9%
UK Q3 GDP: 0.5% estimate
The UK is actually looking at a 0.2% contraction for 2023.
