And I don’t want to be ‘entitled guy’ that takes this kind of stuff personally.

Plus like I said I am freed up to use my SC to source an ST allocation somewhere else without damaging my relationship with my dealership, as in they won’t hold it against me when considering future msrp allocations for the SRS or other GT cars. The manager didn’t have to do that, he could have said ‘hey we didn’t sell you the SC at sticker with the promise of an ST allocation, you still have to give the SC back to us for the next GT car if you want to keep the relationship going’ …so I’m very appreciative of them freeing me up with the SC, it’s a very honorable stance that’s costing them a lot of money to take.

Sorry soulsea. Very good and honest attitude on the whole thing. Many people should learn from you. I can see others outraged and throwing a fit.
You will do what’s best for you. If I had an SC, I would add a manual GT3 touring. Amazing combo. You seem like a good guy. Things will work out for you.

Ok I will admit that I had a larger shot of bourbon than usual to soothe myself.

I think the SC and touring combo is amazing. When one door closes another opens. Good luck with the process!

really sorry to hear about that. But my word that SC is just an epic, probably the most gorgeous car Porsche has made in quite sometime, certainly looks better than S/T. Agree that matching it GT3 Touring seems perfect, will be cheaper and you can drive insane miles guilt free as it’s not a numbered car. possibly a win win all around. Best of luck

I called every dealership I have ever done business with and each one turned me down with the exception of one that gave me an allocation but the price would include an adm of the same amount as msrp. So, I gave up on the S/T and purchased a SC to keep my 991.2 and 992.1 Tourings company in the garage.

Not saying you should, but did you try using your GT3s as trade-in leverage?

You guys are too sweet. I really appreciate you.

The world around us is heartbreaking … missing out on a car seems like such a small and petty thing to be upset about. I am so fortunate in so many ways … it’s all good, there’s no problem.

Plus if @mooty didn't get an allocation I prolly don’t deserve one anyway.

Anyhoot, I’ll figure myself out … I’ll leave this thread to the ST folks.

Unfortunately, the dealerships I work with don't care. The two that I had the best shot at went to the CEO's of the company. I'm not sad that I purchased a SC instead. It's a wonderful car. We'll see some S/T's come back on the market later. For those that are receiving one, please post photos later.

Nothing to be sad about an SC for sure, special car as well. Enjoy it in good health.

My dealer owner has his Ipanema Blue SC, tribute 3RS, and Roughroads Dakar all posted up at one of his stores. The ST will sit right along side them likely.

I track all my cars. M5 Comp included. Unless I'm driving a minivan, all my cars were made with performance in mind. On roads near me, with traffic, bicycles and animals - going anything more than 8/10ths is unsafe. Furthermore, it's not just 30 minutes of hard driving... I want the car to be driven all day multiple 30 minute sessions... that's how I know what the car is made of. It's not about getting the fastest lap times or ego measuring. It's letting your car do what it was supposed to do in a controlled environment. So like you, I plan to track the S/T hnopefully 1-2x a year as I have other cars to track as well.

After doing Thunderhill with my M5 Comp - I went back to the dealer saying.. hey, I have a vibration at high speed. He was like, okay how fast, so we can recreate. I said, 115mph. He said, oh we can't fix that, it's not something we can do... I said.. the car says COMPETITION on it's badge - you're saying you can check wheel balance. I know, I was being a little facetious, but I want to know how serious the company is about using the cars as they are supposed to be used. It was nice that BMW actually was able to figure out how to fix and remove the vibration - I was impressed.

Love your attitude. Cars are cars. There are way more important things in life. I'm a heart surgeon, and I've taken care of a lot of people who are car people. WE talk about cars, but they all tell me - they'd trade everything in if they knew it would let them live for another 10 years and be with their loved ones.

It's wrong what happened to you - but I really admire how you look to the bright side. SC is an amazing car. SC plus GT3 is an incredible setup. Good luck!
