Sold our 2022 Touring. Zach nails the issues with the Tourings suspension. The road noise was unreal, I never could get the seating position right, The car always felt big, ICE was annoying. Rear steer felt fake. Lots of short comings IMO.
Our previous 2018 Touring was a better all overall fun car. I would buy another 991.2 Touring and would not a 992 Touring.
Looking forward to our 718 Spyder RS.

I suspect that the 992.2 touring will have some trickle down similarities to the S/T (especially suspension tuning), but still not as raw and visceral as the S/T.

No disrespect to the guy, but basically a random guy who has a podcast about cars. Nothing more, nothing less.
His opinion on the S/T is about as relevant as any ours (assuming we have one after having driven the S/T).

Zach has driven/tested 50x more cars than the average person on Rennlist, it's what he literally does for a living. I don't say that to say his opinion is automatically fact, but his basis of comparison is far beyond 99% of the people in here or in the real world. "Just Zach" is an interesting perspective. "Just Ipse" would make more sense to me

The 992 GT3 is not great if you only track a 2-3 times a year, but mostly use your GT car for canyon blasts, long weekend trips, and sunday drives. I'm very content with my 991.2 GT3 which is superior to the 992 for those three things, and looks far better inside and out, IMHO.
I have no interest in a 992 GT3.....because of my usage, but a 992 GT3/RS would be an incredible car...... if 90% used for track days.

Agree with Bruce. The 992 GT3 is great......if you track very frequently as it is clearly superior on the track to a 991.

Literally a handful of people on Rennlist who keep repeating this take. Yet hundreds if not thousands who made the switch to a 992, feel completely opposite and don’t need to continually repeat that they feel the 992 is the better all around car.
I don’t track often. 18k miles on 991.2, 8k miles on 992. I would never go back to 991.
If people were able to get a 992 at sticker this wouldn’t even be a discussion.

You can see in my avatar I am a fan of both. I have ~1800 street/canyon miles and multiple track days in the 991 R and 7000 miles and multiple track days in the 992 Touring and that is simply not the case. The only people who believe the 992 is harsher than the 991 during street/canyon driving are those running 40psi in the tires. I drive my 992 every day around town with bucket seats and it's incredibly compliant and comfortable on the road, and even better on the track.
I don't care about mileage in my cars and if I'm taking a road trip I'm grabbing the keys to the 992 before the 991

How much seat time do you have in a 992 doing "those three things?"
