There are some trades between country or global divisions depending on manual vs pdk and trades to move production towards friendlier emissions regs.

At best honestly, Canada is a large country but economically small compared to USA. I think we are gettign 55 S/Ts max.

Having lived and owned Porsches in Canada, US, and now Mexico, allocation of cars is not straight forward. For example, Mexico's market for Porsches is bigger than Canada's and yet it gets few allocations for 911s. It mostly has to do with a poor exchange rate environment. Not sure how exactly but it's ultimately not a profitable market for Porsche and so the entire country received 5 Dakars and 1 ST. This is discussions with a Porsche Mexico representative. I was on the list for both cars and no luck.

Only 1 ST and 5 Dakars for Mexico? That's nuts, should be at least 5x-10x more.

For anyone that has taken their ST…I know there is no mode selector on the steering wheel, but does the car still have drive modes to choose from? Normal, Sport, and Track like the GT3 or is there only one mode?

Does it come with auto start stop?

There are no modes. There is a track view though which is the most useful of all screens. Mine doesn’t have start stop at all. EU version.

You can select sport suspension and that’s about it apart from tc / esc off etc.

Thanks for this. What about sport exhaust? You have to toggle this every time you key on?

Surprisingly it makes less of a difference on the S/T than on the GT3. I asked and all have said its the same exhaust, my thought is the valves have been reprogramed to always be a bit open.

Interesting. I have my CarGraphic Exhaust Valve Controller ready to fit to my S/T (removed from my 992 Touring) but i'm now wondering if wont need it?

Interesting. I know on my GT3 it’s a noticeable difference. Maybe PIWIS and parts catalog will show the difference.

S/T is the RS exhaust system (lightweight steel, supposedly lighter than a titanium one?) but the boundary conditions of the engine (smaller body, less sound deadening, etc) make it sound different.

Supposedly. Per AP @ 13:15-14:10 in the carwow S/T press video.
