Some of the weight reduction stuff is somewhat expensive, not sure a few pounds here and there is really noticeable.

If I had a GT3 touring and wanted to make it more like an S/T, I'd just await a DSC box to improve ride quality and might consider removing some sound insulation. Could also play with alignment to make the car more 'pointy', if desired.
More HP and aero elements.

No meaningful aero difference on the road.

A little more hp is nice, but none of these NA GT cars are that fast on the road until wound up to high rpms. All feel anemic compared to 992 tt/s.

I have a 7.2 GT3 with the 4.0 flywheel and clutch, folding carbon buckets, evoms tune, and PCCBs. The only difference between my car and an RS is the shorter gears, wider hips, bigger aero, and air box.
IT WILL NEVER BE AN RS.

You didn't ask for "meaningful" differences.

Just "things that are different".

Those things are different.

Carbon roof and doors. Gurney Flap.

I believe the steering ratio changed as well. I was impressed with all the changes.

These things you list are the sum of a lot of R&D that needs a project and a budget, hence the S/T. Just like the R took a new model to develop a manual trans, and then the touring got it later. I imagine some of this will come in the .2 gt3 version.

But I would never call it "easy" or "no additional cost", that's a bit dismissive.

GT3 RS engine. This doesn't cost Porsche any more, but it wouldn't fit the marketing hierarchy.

This summarizes the entire thread. There is literally ONE guy in here that can get the car that is not taking an allocation. The rest of the haters can't get one, so they've made it their mission to downplay/minimize the car in any way possible. They will tell you they don't want it but if offered one at MSRP, they would all buy one. And now they're talking about how they could mod their Touring to be almost like an S/T LMAO. This thread continues to deliver.

What could the ST do with less of?

This ST (thread) could do with a couple of fewer posters, we all know who they are. They just keep polluting this thread with their "verbal diarrhea", whataboutery and Mother Theresa sermons on ADM & rest. The ST is not for them, so why spoil it for others.

Amen. It is comical to read and entertaining though to read the same handful compare how big their weiners are and how much this car sucks and is all just marketing. You nailed it!!!

Defenders of the car are the ones polarizing things. No one in this thread ‘hates’ the car, and probably everyone agrees it’s a fine car.

But there should be room for discussion of how it’s different from the gt3 touring, how significant those differences are, whether the cost is worth it, etc. Many here don’t want that discussion because they’ve decided they like and want the car, and want the thread to be cheerleading only. Seems to happen every time Porsche comes out with a ‘special’ car …

Serious question, why are you in here? What is the objective? You're not convincing anyone of anything other than the fact that you're tone deaf and incredibly repetitive.
