I have a Touring and would love an S/T. All Porsches are better incrementally even between generations. This is a numbered car even above that. Probably should've been the only "special car" Porsche released for 992 Gen. Now for 500k and up its a dud compared to an RS4.0 or many other air-cooled cars. Still would love one.

I suppose I'm a car enthusiast, and I'm generally a Porsche fan, and when they come out with a new car, especially a 'special' car, I like to evaluate and discuss the car, its marketing, the cost, etc. I find the discussions interesting and sometimes informative, and sometimes they influence my purchasing decisions. I'm willing to look at and discuss the good and bad of each car, including cars I own. They're just cars (toys), not family members.

Definitely not here to convince anyone of anything, there's no need for people to agree about anything related to cars.

Serious question, why are YOU in here? What is YOUR objective? Why are you so bothered by posts by me and others?

@Manifold Try to step away from this thread for a week, perhaps you will learn more that way. Thank you.

Go drive the many cars you say you own rather than spend so much of your time on RL on so many threads.

Wouldn’t it make more sense for people to utilize the ‘ignore’ feature RL provides instead of demanding posters silence themselves… ?

To be fair, one would be remiss, if they did not point out the hundreds of posts that you've made in the "ADM Thread" doing just that.

Ha ha and a fair point - the problem is a couple post so often, that you still see the pollution as others quote these people in their posts.

I’ll stay away myself from the thread.

Wouldn't it make even MORE sense for people to practice restraint in communication.

When your wife cooks a crappy dinner, you could say "this meal sucks and I'm permitted to say that because it's a free country and if you don't like what I said you can just put me on ignore" OR you could just stfu.

For example, I can't fathom coming on an S/T thread and talking about how the Turbo is great or how Porsche really missed the mark on the S/T which is basically an overpriced Touring.

Maybe there should be a poll on this rather than PCCB vs IRON it can be STFU vs IGNORE.

If that happened, RL would just be an echo chamber. This is the internet, I think we can all agree not to take things written on the internet too seriously. As long as things are civil with no personal attacks, people should be able to speak their mind on any online forum, even when it goes against the opinions of the majority of others. Let's just all get along and play nice as one thing I know for sure is that all of us on here are passionate car folks.

I would understand the frustration if people were repeatedly saying the car sucks. But no one is doing that. If I were offered one at MSRP and it was priced closer to $200k, I might buy one myself.

truly curious, what are you basing this off of? Not being argumentative as I haven’t driven an RS4.0 (or any air cooled 911s for that matter) so I have nothing to compare, but with respect, you haven’t driven an S/T, so it seems premature at best to say it’s a dud compared to anything.
