Yes I get that both the car market and the housing market are driven by supply/demand dynamics but they are completely different things...one can be considered a need/necessity purchase (you need to live somewhere) while the other is a luxury good purchase.

It isnt really though. When consumers can't order direct and are at the mercy of Porsche Franchise Dealers and also Private Luxury car dealers it seems to be rather manipulated.

No one has ever claimed that capitalism is transparent. Thats a fool's errand.

I think we have enough transparency on the prices of these cars from listings, auctions, forums, etc. Prices are high because of demand, not lack of transparency.

So is it fair to assume the same principals can be applied to the last run up in housing prices? All courtesy of low inventory, home flippers, institutional investors, cheap money, etc. Bottom line is the price is often dictated by what the market will bear in a free market society.

Im not suggesting they are but rather showing the similarities of how they are both transacted in an inflated market. Point being, one is not expected to offload said asset at a reasonable price when market conditions favor the seller.

alas you’re wrong. It’s still a simple tale of market demand. You even have world wide real time pricing and auction information and still can’t negotiate a better deal. Because you lack power. Because demand is high enough that you are just another fish in the sea.

Sorry to hear that. I know how set your heart was on getting one.
Is PNH no longer selling GT cars to their long-term clients at MSRP?

DD, surely you’re not attempting to bait a fellow community member so quickly upon your return; are you?

No, not at all.

Porsche of North Houston has been actively promoted here as a dealership that sells new GT cars at MSRP to it's long-time customers.
I'm simply asking if they've changed their policy given the new GT3RS.
