Porsche has already built around 4,500 992.1 GT3/Tourings to NA so assuming NA gets 35% of the total production that's almost 13,000 globally....then add GT3RSs and STs.

I've already shared the data for the the GT3s and Tourings for NA which counted over 4,300 for NA a few months go so we might end up around 5,000 when the dust settles, see the graphs below....

Where are you getting this info???????

oh, see that 'answer' now...well, obviously if it's sourced from RL, it's obviously gospel! Has to be true!

… which puts them on track for 15,000 for the entire 992.1 generation. Which is what they did for 991.2. Round up 20%, sure. Not even remotely close to the 40K-50K 911s that are being shipped per year. You’re off by almost an order of magnitude. 8x to 9x wrong.

What I initially thought when I first saw the discussion about 911 GT production versus "Carrera" production was about the split between base 911 Carreras (as opposed to Carrera S's, GTS's, 911 Turbos, etc.) and GT models relative to profit per model. Seems like the GT versions might be more profitable, hence why there would be more incentive to favor their production. Just considering - no, I don't have any data sources.

The GT models are quite profitable although the turbo models are also extremely profitable. Nevertheless total 911 production is up about 26% approaching 50,000ish units per year. gt3+gt3rs appears to be closer to 5,000 units per year, maybe a pinch more. 20% more than 991.2 looks about right.

GT models are the least profitable (on a percentage basis) of all the 911 models.

Considering that Porsche builds over a dozen different variants of a 911 of course they'll build more of those than GT3s/Tourings but Porsche builds way more Tourings/GT3s than base 911s and Carrera S/4S and Turbo/Turbo S, etc. Porsche knows where the bread is buttered and where the highest demand is and that's where they allocation their building capacity to like any for-profit business.

Only because the law of large numbers, I'm fairly confident that Porsche makes more total dollar profit on a GT3/Touring then any other not GT car. Part of that comes from guys spending $$$ on CXX and option expensive options. Take me for example, I spent approx. 40% of the MSRP price on options for both my Touring and GT4RS.

Yup.
It's just more Fake News.
Not sure how being wrong by a factor of 8 or 9x is even close to being accurate.
Nothing to see here.
