@Manifold The real question is why do you care how others - strangers no less - use their material possessions? I feel like this (along with the anti-ADM crusade) is just virtue signalling.
You’re not asking out of innocent curiosity or digging into the lifestyle of a responder. Youre intent is to shame them into thinking they’re less worthy of owning a GT3 than you are.

I've never seen anyone be so obsessed about how "others" spend THEIR MONEY.
It's downright bizarre.

It's really nonsense to expect, much less deride, anyone who buys a GT car to track it, or use it "as intended" (whatever the hell that means).
I mean, do people really expect every person who wears a Rolex Submariner to be divers? Either recreational or professional ones? Yet, few would look at someone who wears a Submariner and scoff at them if they don't use the watch "as intended".
Why? Because most people do not, as shown by this admittedly unscientific poll

You misunderstand. GM told me the next GT3 allocation is mine (at MSRP), but they don't know when they'll get more allocations. I missed the previous 992 GT3 allocations because I didn't express interest to my dealer until fairly recently, at which point all of the allocations were already taken.

I am not sure a submariner not used as diving watch and a track focused car analogy are exactly the same. Some of us where we live, the speed limits are strictly enforced on public roads and there really isn't a place to experience the car at a pace you would consider spirited without getting license suspended/revoked or going to jail for exceeding speed limits. I have not even mentioned it is inherently dangerous on public roads to extract the performance which we all know the car is capable of since the car has such high limits.
Could the car be used just for cc, canyon drives, dd, garage queen? Absolutely you can but there is another part of the car that owner will not experience unless you are at a proper track. There is nothing wrong with either use cases.

I had a neighbor in CA when I lived there he worked his *** off all his life, and he wanted to one day own a Ferrari he was in his 60’s. He washed that damn thing every Saturday, and took it out for a drive down PCH and to see the smile on his face was priceless. One man’s opinion of waste, can be another mans life long happy moment. Just another point of view why not to question another mans pocket book or reasons for a purchase as the world is too full of hall monitors who took the extended lunch. 😎 (By the way your post was good and thoughtful…….I just commenting)
