i was going to watch Million Dollar Listing LA, but decided to spend 7 minutes here laughing at the lot of you saying the same thing over and over again. And then, like my 13 year old daughter on social, only pressing the like button when it is a post by your favorite conspirator. Guys, spend this time with your families, friends or putting shoulder to plough into your craft. Holy Moly.

This week, my dealer sold a 1500 mile Touring for about $66ish over window. It was a lower window ($204?) pdk car. Nice options. Obviously pre-owned. They were asking $80ish over. I only follow Touring...it seems the lower window cars ($190 to $205) are going at $60 over, higher window at $40 to $50 over. Take my car for example. No one would give a crap about my PTS or the cxx options, so no one would pay anything for them.

Reminds me of a guy i met on track day same car as mine MY22 and he did not believe i got my car for msrp. You have not defended how you know personally non-adm buyers cannot afford the car.
in the major markets, as I said and which apparently you guys are incapable of understanding market rate might vary by region, your bid is several multiples too low and just not serious. In fly over country your problem is that a $25k might well be reasonable but dealers doing less business, so there’s less demand, so adm is lower also … get fewer allocations. A Midwest dealer isn’t ever getting the same number of allocations as LA. Full stop. Smoking crack is bad for you. Given the adm in CA and NY if $25k is really market rate in the Midwest then … there’s no way your dealer is getting 4 more allocations this year. So your place #4 is the same as never.

might thing change in the December allocations for CY 2024 ? Maybe. But actual Porsche dealers have posted the lines are full of Dakar, SC, 3RS and future limited editions. So have multiple other sources. There is zero evidence there will be any significant numbers of gt3s built in calendar 2024.

TL;DR if you don’t already have an allocation, there is 0 reason to believe you’ll get one in CY 2024. Literally no reputable source. Porsche has never kept a production run of a gt3 for more than 3 years before. Odds are not in your favor.

I like a manual, but it's interesting how much of a relative "deal" the 600lt has become. I see some on sale for 230k and it compares well with some of the fastest machines at local tracks. A fast coach set the following times
Thunderhill bypass
GT2 RS 1:49.4
Viper ACR extreme aero 1:48.5
(the above times could be 1.4-1.6 seconds faster on a cooler track)
600lt 1:49.2
and some slower laps in a 600lt spyder with passenger

This is like telling someone who wants a Rolex what a great watch an Omega is.

That's the funniest assumption made by the ADM crowd, that those who got a car at MSRP or looking for one around MSRP can't afford to pay a high ADM. Most all can but don't find the value of paying a significant ADM for the car.

He clearly states he does not have the financial means to have the two cars in his garage.

Harris is acting like a spoiled brat not getting the EXACT 4RS he wants from Porsche (in England I guess it's called being a '****'). He's literally selling his 992 Touring because he got his feelings hurt by Porsche.
It's surprising that he can't afford to have a decent sized stable of cars.

I’m not sure I’d read too much into what he said. He could just mean that he can’t afford to have 2 near identical cars in the garage when one of those spots could go to a different need or driving experience. Which is pretty common attitude even among hypercar owners

We also don’t know what the expense side of his ledger looks like. He could have a lot of money tied up investments or small businesses like collecting cars.

most shows like top gear pay a lot of money per episode, at least in the states. I would not assume he’s literally incapable of affording this.

What's surprising is that he couldnt pay cash for the 992 Touring. Had to use Porsche finance. But who knows what his balance sheet looks like.

Even more surprising is his "rant" and airing his "dirty" laundry out in the public eye for all to see. His character isnt what it appears to be on the surface.

Next.

what’s funny is that you, whose bought double digits worth of cars and trades them back to your dealer under market rate, thinks your experience has any relevance at all at folks new to the brand.

You’re awfully haughty for someone who lost many $10s K on all those trade ins

hard to say without his balance sheet. There can be a LOT of tax advantages to financing. Or kickbacks for his dealer and strategic purchases.

a little surprised by the rant, but I think any of us would be very frustrated if our dealer told us we were getting a gt4rs and then ****ed us. He’s human. I’d love to be a fly on the wall at the dealership when they decided to kick this off. They had to know it’d escalate publicly. We only have one side of the story so … 🤷‍♂️

Yup, his "soft" bashing is getting old.

But it's funny that he continues to maintain the position that he does. His buying "experience" isnt the slightest bit relevant to anyone here, never mind that he's been paying a "stealth" ADM the entire time.

He sounds a bit "miffed" that he didnt get any special treatment from Porsche regarding the 4RS.
Maybe he should talk to Manifold about getting put 1st on his dealer's list at MSRP.
haha

An actual stripper. Lowest spec touring I’ve seen. I think it will go a bit higher. 240ish

someone literally posted an internal list of 2024 models a few weeks ago. The 718 gt4 and spyder were gone but gt3 still showed for 2024.
