News flash.
Sometimes people just want a new, not a used one.
Some people just prefer being the first person to pop the soda can. And will pay for the privilege.
Just because used cars are flooding the market, does not necessarily mean the new car market will be affected. It might, but it most likely might not.
Speaking for myself only, when I was in the market for a 1.1 GT3 and a 1.2 GT3 RS, a used car was not even in the consideration.

I don't see how availability of more used cars wouldn't affect the new market. If someone finds a low miles CPO build they really like, available NOW at an attractive price, that's a nice alternative to getting a new one. And with so many Porsches being garage queens, not that hard to find a GT car that hasn't been tracked.

‘Based on what I read here your chances of getting an allocation for a car you can spec are pretty slim.

240 used GT3’s for sale lots of opportunities make an offer. It’s like 101 Dalmatians out there no need to wait take a poor GT3 home looking for a good owner to love them. By the way I’ve never seen this many GT3’s for sale launch year ……wait to the RS deliveries roll in. 😱

fine - I’ll take a deep breath.
but before you vomit on the DWB suspension (which is what you doing comparing a 991 and a 992 gt) try it first perhaps?
or dont - if u do the convertible 991.2 will be for sale and sold before the 675

[QUOTE=Maverick787;18531139]I think you’re missing the point, and not pissing on the 992 ……..I’ve driven the crap out of the car and also the 911 R. It’s a choice I don’t want the car, and I like driving my Speedster because it’s enjoyable. Not sure if you saw some of my other post I sold my RS, not because I don’t like it …..too many hobbies and the track stuff had to go. Speedster it not a track car, and I don’t want a GT3 just to say I have one. I do feel for guys that can’t get cars, and I posted the list to show many are for sale make an offer …….some just like talking about it but cars are there. Some what new, but reality it’s not going to happen. 🍷[/QUOTE
Just stick and comment with what you know pls.

My sense is a few people here just want to argue to seem smart - what I have begun to term Renntwitter -
But here is some analysis of the Gt3 market through October 22 including all generations, but a good section on 992s.
Conclusions - market isn't homogenous anymore and some models don't have a lot of data thus there are general conclusions rather than validated correlations, but:
Touring models command approx $40K more than winged cars, and the premium is approx. $90K over a 991.2
Older cars 996-997 are stable
992s are coming down to a median of 295 from a median of 325 or 9% since January 2022 both manuals and PDK
Tourings dropped ~6% or $20K due to more supply and higher mileage
Its an active market, things will change. Your local area and view of the elephant may be different - but for those rational humans here hope this helps!
