I think the issues with that Carmax lime gold car likely go far beyond the color and pre-delivery accident report...

Spotted this at Porsche of St. Louis. 2012 C2S Basalt with Black/Platinum Grey.

18k miles with about 8 months CPO left. $72,950. 38.6% off MSRP

Unfortunately the build sheet is lacking detail? Looks like it has Prem Pkg Plus, 18 ways, Burmeister, Sport Chrono, electric folding mirrors.

No sunroof. Needs a Sport Design steering wheel.

^^^ saw that one too. funny build sheet doesn't show options. has nice ones though.

CarFax had me a bit curious with # of owners. Worth looking into and priced well.

It looks like Porsche St Louis (or its parent company) has sold it used two times in the past. They must love cars like this.

Think Porsche system was having issues. I have gotten that for quite a few buildsheets, including ones I have pulled previously. Most are back up but 2012s still showing up blank for a few.

I saw this car in-person pre-CPO up on a lift. Clean and lovely, and an eye-catching build. Almost like-new underneath. Multi-Porsche owner supposedly sold back to dealer for health reasons.

Nice build popped up. No details on price or mileage. Miles should be on lower end possibly based on CarFax. We'll see.

I'm trying guys!!

New RL here, been following HFS thread the last 2 months (thanks STG!). Appreciate all the great education and tips! I'm in the market for a 991.1 C2S. Looking at a potential HFS posted a few days ago =) However, the car was optioned with PCCBs, and I got the carfax saying that front and rear brake pads were replaced at 4800 miles, rear brake pads replaced again at 5200, and then both front and rear replaced again at 8000 miles. None after that, and the car is currently at 15 K miles. I thought PCCBs usually last the life of the car if used as DD? Is this a sure sign that this is a track car?

Welcome!! Glad you found HFS.

Which car? Don't recall the PCCB's. With normal street use PCCB pads and rotors should last the life of the car. That sounds insane

If true, I'd be concerned about any rotor wear and how much life they have. Those things are $$$$$. I mean, $$$$$!!!

True, could be anything. Would be good to talk to the dealer who did the work and get the notes they have on the work and why they were replaced. This detailed information is only available at the local dealer. Other dealers cannot log-in and get detailed notes about service work at other dealers.

If I knew which car it was, and could look at the Carfax I might be able to get some more gut instinct assumptions.

Other than that, worth digging deeper into the car and trying to get more information.
