a quick check on google shows many instances where some accidents appear while others dont on carfax. my only point is that the history may not be complete and that there may be some omissions. ive read that states and localities are varied in making records public so none of these services seem absolute.

i dont know any of this first hand so i cant speak with any authority. just passing on info that may be of help is all im trying to do.

If in doubt about a car, always get a PPI. Trust NO ONE ... All these things are pieces of a puzzle that when put together, enable you to make the best choice on purchasing a car.

Default Specs for 991 S

Could someone tell me where to find the specs/what's included on a 991 S ?

I would like to see something similar to what is shown on the left side of the window sticker.

If this is the same C4S in Utah, here is the buildsheet. Cars says it is over priced near $6k. But it looks like a Porsche dealer now selling it CPO, so that's a plus. Pretty nice options...

Default Thoughts on this 2014 C2S with Aero Kit

http://www.poughkeepsienissan.com/ve...-ny-id-9247774

They are fixed on their price.
The only add-on that I do not like is an AWE exhaust which when I test drove the car, produced the dreaded drone sound. They do not have the original exhaust system.
There is some damage on the underneath of the front spoiler, it is fiber glass and would have to be repaired.
The Car Fax is a little strange, and when I asked the sales manager about it, he told me it was the owner's car which he purchased along with a turbo in FL and had it shipped up to his Nissan dealership in NY. Who owned the car for one day is a mystery to me.

It is not a CPO, but has two years on the original warranty.
Is it worth a second look?

Nice build.

The spoiler lip is an easy fix. Buy one and get it painted.

The PSE?? Ummm... Maybe look for a used one or just buy one and install. Already has the button on the console. So you don't need that expense.

The price isn't bad at all for those low miles.

Looking at a few manuals again...

Can someone verify: 2012.5's didn't have the auto-blip rev matching, but all 2013' and later had auto-blip?

Never driven one with the rev-matching... Feature worth having on a manual 991?

I don't believe they had it till maybe 2014. I've been a throttle blipper all my life with the right side of my foot (not my heel). The throttle blipping function is useless to me because I can't stop blipping with my right foot on downshifts. It's a lifelong habit that I find impossible to break. And the Sport Chrono adjusts the throttle response so that on high speed downshifts, my right foot blips result in higher revs when I do blip it with my right foot, just because of the throttle response remapping. Where it is useful is for people like my wife who has driven manual tranny cars for years but never got used to blipping the throttle with her right foot on the brake. She is going to love the auto blipping on my 2015 911 C2S with manual and Sport Chrono.

Default Good deal?

Hi all, I have been a long time lurker here. Thanks STG for starting this very informative thread. Been looking for a 991S cab for past year, but seriously over the past month. Found this one that I think is a good deal, but wanted to get some opinions and advice before pulling the trigger.

https://admin.porschedealer.com/repo...CB2A96ES154272
MSRP around $137k

Originally listed for $92.6k, but didn't sell so reduced to $90.6k. Have been in talks with the SA and got them to $88.7k. The only option missing that I really want is PSE. Got quote from them for $3.5k installed before purchasing. Also quoted shipping cost is $1.5k from California to Texas. Car looks clean, is CPO. Is it necessary to get a PPI if the car is CPO? Thoughts on the price?

TIA.
