I actually prefer just "911" on the rear, and think the giant "PORSCHE" above it looks way too much, but that of course is personal preference.

Some people can see the potential and take a so so condition vehicle for a low buy in price and transform it to their personal dream. I wish I could be like that as I seem to always look for the perfect one.

I would rather pay a little more and get a nicer condition one...

Yeah. I am a tinkerer by nature, but a $60,000 car, I wouldn't. You don't get the money or the time back when something happens to the car. You sell it, nobody cares about your improvements. You have it wrecked, it is very rare to get investments back at a reasonable value.

Even though I am looking for a daily driver for myself I can't get myself to have that blue carmax vert transferred to MA to have a look. I have some time left on my current lease and I'm still playing waiting for Car Charming.

(I also had to realize that although I really like good sounding music the Burmester isn't all that much of a must-have)

I would maybe do that if the previous owner had real investments that he/she in turn doesn't get the money back on. Let's say an actually good stereo or some airflow changes that makes the car sound audibly better (or be more responsive), or top of the line wheels. Then I would accept a couple of other imperfections elsewhere.

Sounds like we are in a similar situation. If that blue carmax car was a little closer and was $500 to bring it to Cleveland, I would do it, but I don't think it is worth a grand. It doesn't look very well taken care of, but small problems can be fixed. Still one has to wonder if the oil was ever changed.

Carmax will sell you a 6-year 100k mile warranty from date of purchase...just saying.

It is just the general condition of that car with the big scrape on the front and the driver's seat that looks really beat as if it sat out in the rain with the top down for a few weeks. I don't think the prior owner cared about that car much. If they reduce it at all, I might just throw the grand at it to have a look, but at $65K, I think I can wait for something a little better for a few grand more. One never knows though. I think I could make the blue car nice again, but it would take some time.

Any idea how much that would be for a 991.1?

Here is a rare Manual C4S Cab with low miles. White on Beautiful Espresso full leather interior.

$138k sticker. Bidding starts at $87k with no reserve. Price is commensurate with the 4k miles.

Looking into below. Car is local. 11,750 miles on it, warranty through Nov 2018 (non P dealer so no CPO). Clean carfax. 1 owner. Pretty good condition (some chips here and there / regular wear you'd expect without clear bra). Asking $84k. What is a good price here?

It depends on the deductible. But I was at carmax just a few days ago asking about their MaxCare on the 2014 991 4S they had and it was about 3,000 even for the highest deductible, and moved up from there. I think the most expensive option was around 4K.

It didn't seem so bad (competitive with fidelity?)

Not too bad for a warranty with a good reputation.

It still makes it problematic to have Carmax offers compete with CPOed cars from a Porsche dealer. Do you know whether the Carmax warranty transfers to a new owner when the sale is private to private?
