$39000 in depreciation over 8k miles. Eesh.
This would be a car I'd break my no black rule on.
Well it's worse, since the $77,000 is asking price, and dealer. Who knows what the original owner got. 50 bucks?

They probably marked it up $10K from what they got it for. No way they have a $27K margin!!

I know a guy who sold a nicely optioned 991S to a Porsche dealer outright. They flipped it for a $10K mark up asking price.

As a small note, it also is a base model.

Interesting article .....

http://www.worldcarfans.com/11601121...-trouble-ahead

Can we say bubble? If/when the economy slows down which we're seeing signs of now, things can crumble pretty quick. Especially in the high end car market. No surprise the whole older 911 market and everything else retro has shot through the roof. Wait for the air to start leaking, then a pop!

All this taking advantage of LOW interest rates will end soon too. No surprise Porsche had record sales too as did everyone else. Times won't always be this good (Porsche forgets sometimes).

Good news for guys looking for "hot deals" for years to come .... Just don't have all your eggs tied up in the Wall St. balloon.

Another ...

How's this one?

http://www.carmax.com/enus/view-car/...results%20page

VERY well optioned, has all the performance goodies including PDCC. Basalt black over Platinum Grey which I think is a nice, safe, sporty combo.

Clean history, low miles, and very reasonable asking price of $70K

Looks good?

Any thoughts on this 2012.5 S with 9k? Low miles and seems to have a nice option list... its local for me so it might be worth a look.

Times 2 on X2. It's great to see that an enthusiast found what sounds like a great car, perhaps from this thread, moved quickly and bought it. Enjoy in good health!!

LOL, mine is a 2012.5 C2S Basalt Black over Platinum Grey that I bought 19 months ago from Carmax...

Price would work for me. The only thing I am not a fan of on that one are the wheels, which could be swapped out.

They've been sitting on that one for almost 4 months. Warranty is out in May so every month that passes it gets less desirable. Initial list price was $78,900, they've lowered the price every month and seem to have bottomed out @ $75K. Very well optioned car - somewhat odd that airbag was replaced but perhaps that was normal for the very early 991s?

I say check it out - you should be able to get it for less than $70K
