Great. His father owns the Exchange. Tight run ship with hands on owners there. Not some big franchise with dozens of dealers with absentee owners. The Exchange does very high volume. Biggest in the Midwest.

Nick Kopp there is a great brand ambassador too.

I think I made a decent deal on this car.

161k MSRP and I purchased as second owner today at 111k.
Interior is gorgeous.... Only suggestion I would have is to swap out the multifunction steering wheel for a sport design wheel with real paddles and a separate multifunction stalk.

This is going to make some enthusiasts very happy... If they can actually get one for anywhere close to MSRP.

Yes, a true enthusiast model.

Most dealers have already had lists deeper than all 2018 and 2019 cars they'll get allocated. Some are MSRP dealers who deal with repeat customers, and there are many dealers who will charge "market pricing" aka over MSRP mark ups. Expect $35K+ mark ups early on.

Agreed! You caught one of two things I would change if I had been the one to spec this car. The second being, I prefer red tail lamps over the clear. But both of these can be easily fixed.

Yup. The clears always look too 'import tuner' to me. I'm sure you could find someone to swap their reds for your clears, or you could possibly even have them tinted dark which might look good with the other black accents on the car. I'll say hi if I ever see you and your car at a Denver area track day or cars & coffee!

When I was looking for my 911, I was also of the mind that I had to have the Sportdesign wheel.

Then some serendipity struck, and I ended up with a multifunction wheel instead. And now six months later, I wouldn't have it any other way. Having the wheel-mounted controls is infinitely convenient, and I've gotten used to the push/pull setup on both the buttons and console shifter.

Give the multifunction wheel a chance!

TLDR:

Sportdesign Wheel: She's got the looks, but that's all...

Multifunction Wheel: She might not be a supermodel, but she's fun, and she'll help you with the groceries when your hands are full...

I love both, the MF steering wheel and the clear tails. Drive her a tad first before investing thousands swapping those out, you may change your mind.
Either way, congratulations on a fine acquisition. Let that wonderful, free-breathing monster motor sing and screw regulations and the EPA!!!

Yes, no rushing into changes...although I most likely will swap to the tinted gt3rs lights sooner rather than later. The wheel, I'm willing to give a shot for a few months. My fiancé will be driving this car as well so I'm going to get some input from her too.

And yes, NA for me. This will be the second 3.8 in the garage (sharing top bunk with the gt4). I did build a .2gts but just never felt confident in the purchase. The na 3.8 has some soul I thoroughly enjoy...to me it's not all about speed. If it was we'd have a turbo and 991 Gt3.

Turbos will be dime a dozen in the coming years, you nailed it but saying that speed is just one dimension, the soul is increasingly missing in new cars.
Enjoy a great machine while saving thousands by passing on the .2GTS.

I'm not a MF wheel fan - but did everyone notice that it is a carbon fiber MF wheel? That would give me serious pause to think twice! Great great deal on a tremendous build!

Sport desigh wheel was also in my list, but got a car with MF and the wheel was new, so it seemed a bit irrational to change outright... now I am used to the MF, use the buttons a lot and don't consider making the switch... maybe when it gets older, if the leather shows wear...
