Be careful who you let drive your NEW $250K GT Silver GT3RS or any car!! Plus production is over on these cars. Can't even order a new one. This one will probably be fixed. What's the accident hit on value here? Around $50K off MSRP. Both airbags popped too. Carbon fiber hood and front quarter panels = $$$$$$

Name of shop yet to be released and drama still not over. We know they're in the Midwest and car owner has screen shots of them posting on Facebook bragging about the car that just came in for work. The detectives here can probably find the shop. I feel soooooo bad for the owner. Heartbreaking. Following the updates myself...

Luckily Porsche has a program where you have ship your car to them to be restored.... that would be the ONLY thing I would settle for unless the owner just wants his money back - or market value for a mint one.... whichever is higher.

I mentioned I'd be interested in it to my SA, but he hasn't contacted me. So I'm pretty sure it wasn't bought for me :-( it was gorgeous.
That white GTS below could fit the bill for somebody who likes an apparently nice GTS for $98k. That is the cheapest one I have seen that was not wrecked or seriously damaged.

Default 1M Views Approaching!!!

A bit off topic - but in about 3 weeks, this thread will be two years old. And +/- a view or two, STG's thoughtful (usually ) and considerate (most of the time ) stewardship of this thread will result in ONE MILLION VIEWS by fellow enthusiasts who like to look at cars, discuss vehicle values, and help others find the best 911 match at the best value!

Should we start a separate thread to post "bets" on what day/time view 1M will happen? At about 1350 views per day average we're only a few weeks away.

Thanks for getting this off the ground George - clearly one Internet news source that has value to a lot of people.

BR,
gordon

Geez, posting a picture from the auction on this one. Hood popped open and filthy. Most of these dealers get cars at auction. Is an auction always bad? No. But, you have to ask questions and do your homework. Why would a car like this make it to one and be handled in such a bad way?

Moral of story? Do your homework and trust nobody.

The owner Val is a nice guy, his side kick Paul has cost him several deals, because of his bad attitude. Their attitude, Paul's is if the car has been in an accident and looks good then no worries about selling it. In other words, if we can sell it to a sucker then then a wrecked car has no diminished value. Portland has a very limited inventory on Pcars, so they do well. It is a seller's market - always, unless you want a Prius or subie!

It's bad business either way you look at it, and at the end of the day it's the owners *** on the line and his reputation. Obviously the owner Val is ok with it so it's on him too. Nice guy or not, they all have no issue taking your $$$.

Side kick or not, I wouldn't let a guy like this Paul represent my business and give me a bad reputation. I'd have a guy like that on the street in my line of work.

I think he is stuck with him because he is family. I think being a dk to customers who are desperate for pcars in a desert environment has worked to their advantage. But, you could get a great car or a time bomb! PPI is key even if Jesus is selling it!

Chain only as strong as the weakest link and whatnot. I agree... it's too much to risk your reputation on someone who's supposed to be representing you.

Isn't it funny when some people are selling high end cars they all the sudden get attitudes?? Quite bizarre. As if they're doing you a favor.

It is so true! I mean Porsche dealers are not as bad as some of these auto dealer who sell high end cars. While I was in the market to find my pcar, I dealt with them on several occasions and Paul, fortunately for me, cost the dealership several deals. I found my perfect car with the options I wanted up North, local car and with a rear Pacific NW wiper!
