HOT FOR SALE: Pick of the Week 991
#8221
When did Navigation become standard in 991.1 non-turbo cars? Any difference for S and base?
Speaking of it, for the sake of correctly listing non-listed options:
Anybody has that information?

I think navigation is on all 991.1's correct? Regardless of model or stereo. I always use my iPhone when I need to anyway. Have never tried the P navigation.
All 991.1 S models come standard with PASM.
No "freebies" with launch vehicles that I've never known of. They are just noted as "launch" because they were the first batches ordered or made for initial deliveries to dealers I believe.

It's a tight car market as is. Seems like it's even tighter now. A good stock market is always good for luxury car sales. Let's leave the political debates out of it. About the stock market wealth effect here. Obviously the election has caused a lot of confidence.

This is interesting:
"There's an uptick, but business is being bought by companies putting [generous] lease programs on their cars to push volumes," said Barry Gilfix, the owner of LeaseByTel, a Troy, Mich., leasing company that specializes in financing luxury models for buyers nationwide. "Eventually, the bubble is going to burst," Mr. Gilfix said, adding that returned lease vehicles will ultimately take a toll on new and used-car values."

Launch vehicle options can vary, although there may be some standard kit to them. I have seen launch vehicles with different options but I also saw a launch vehicle (different car/vin) with the exact same build and interior/exterior color as my first 991S (also a launch vehicle).

I'd much prefer to keep the phone away and use the Nav..biggest pet peeve being that there isn't a direct "mute" button and it takes couple of clicks through sound/option to get there but otherwise it works very well.
Don't know why but i like the mute option for known parts of certain routes i take. The obvious benefit is the 3.8L/PSE unadulterated symphony.

Hi - curious why you aren't using the P navigation, is there anything in particular that bothers you about it?

This stock market surely cannot hurt Porsche prices (so far). "A rising tide lifts all boats!" It sure is lifting my retirement nest egg that we live off of, and I invest it relatively conservatively. I'm even starting to think 991.1 TT or TTS, if I can't find that right GTS like the loaded blue one below with Aerocup. Red or Yellow would b great too. Maybe White. It's got to be a brighter color, for my taste. I'm very fortunate to have found my loaded CPO 2015 M7 C2S with 3000 miles on it last June. I stumbled onto a great deal, so I didn't say much ;-) Now, almost a year later, the same dealer asks $10k more for the same car. So I know I got a great deal. But my portfolio went up enough that I can seriously lust for my ultimate 991.1. Am I crazy? ?

Yep. I think it's closer to 3" and little less than 2 finger widths wide. Not small holes. Wish there was some kind of cap you can pop in instead.

Otherwise you'll be living with a world of second-guessing and regret.
