Well said.... When you do things like this, you narrow your "right buyer pool" tremendously and increase your "wrong buyer pool by x 5".

Has this carmax car been posted here before? Lightly optioned but it is a 2015 with low miles and from the built sheet, it was originally $115,085

For example, I would not even consider a car that had been modified so any changes would cross that car right off of my list...

Here's a PTS car on eBay but seller has no history so be careful. Low miles - well equipped and well priced.

No need to fear, the guy is obviously an enthusiast since he opted for the "sport chronology" package...

I know beauty is in the eye of the beholder, yada yada yada, but those are just not a 'special' looking interior and exterior color choices to me... Nor are they particularly cohesive/attractive.

I can't imagine spec'ing both PTS paint AND interior to sample for a combined $11,000 upcharge and ending up with this...

It reminds me of a zillion unattractive Boxster's I've seen that look like this:

Well, the $5500 for the interior include the $3850 to get the leather interior in the first place.

I like the car. Not so sure about the seller... or the ad. Or the fact that it is advertised nowhere else? And photographed in the back of some shady facility? I don't think this is the advertiser's own car. Selling for a buddy with no knowledge of the car.

I remember a PTS Cab in Mexico Blue with a bright red interior - MSRP around $180K - now that's a hard one to swallow.

This 2015 GTS popped up on eBay today. Pretty nice machine for an asking price of $98k. Cheap for a nice GTS!
Not richly optioned buy does have Burmeister, PDK, and sunroof in glass.
It does have 20k miles, but clean CarFax, and has plenty of original Porsche warranty remaining.
One negative: it does have that ugly thing on the front bumper that some of the bad states require ;-)

Seems legit. Has TX plate on car and he's also selling another Porsche. He's in Dallas and car sticker was sold at Park Place Porsche in Dallas.

I sent him a message. If it is what it is, it's a great deal with 11K miles.

Why a PPI is important with any car (especially with non Porsche dealers). 991 C2S here with clean CarFax, but has big issues. Not common, but you don't want this to be your purchase!!

Think they'll disclose damage now that PPI is in progress finding damage?

Obviously beware of this car!!

Geez, posting a picture from the auction on this one. Hood popped open and filthy. Most of these dealers get cars at auction. Is an auction always bad? No. But, you have to ask questions and do your homework. Why would a car like this make it to one and be handled in such a bad way?

Moral of story? Do your homework and trust nobody.

Sorry to chime in so late but these guys (PP Plano) are local to me. They DO haggle but the manager insists that you come in to see the car prior to doing so. Even with their no-haggle pricing, they were able to come off a bit for a serious buyer. They also drop their prices pretty aggressively every 2-3 weeks until it is sold.

Take it in to your local "tuner" to get some work done (Fabspeed headers and a tune), and the owner goes for a test/joyride and smashes into a building

Be careful who you let drive your NEW $250K GT Silver GT3RS or any car!! Plus production is over on these cars. Can't even order a new one. This one will probably be fixed. What's the accident hit on value here? Around $50K off MSRP. Both airbags popped too. Carbon fiber hood and front quarter panels = $$$$$$

Name of shop yet to be released and drama still not over. We know they're in the Midwest and car owner has screen shots of them posting on Facebook bragging about the car that just came in for work. The detectives here can probably find the shop. I feel soooooo bad for the owner. Heartbreaking. Following the updates myself...
