I agree that the "no haggle" thing is more in line of presenting a challenge. I realize that it might the car buying experience more comfortable when people who want a used appliance style car and haggling isn't their idea of fun anyway.

I estimate that a large part of the people who want a 911 and realize what bargains 991s are right now are people who are very comfortable with negotiations. And as mentioned now you take away the thrill of both sides walking away after a closed deal thinking they ripped the other off.

I never bet against a dealer. They are in the business of making a living from my emotions

The house always wins. The funny thing is, when a dealer accepts my offer without much hassle, I always get a feeling in my gut that I've been had.

There are plenty of cars I've posted here that are priced so well, I'd pay asking price. Others, not so. All a case by case basis.

I'm with STG. Our 2012.5 C2s cab was priced spot on. Got a fair trade on Our 981BS. Same dealer, Porsche Rancho Mirage. One call and done followed by a road trip from Seattle. After I "binned" the C2s cab we found the 2014 heavily optioned C4s cab. Original ask was MSRP less $30k (14 months, 4.5k miles). Ended up at MSRP less $44k after the dealer did a couple drops within 2-3 weeks of listing. Took about 3 weeks all in. So it all depends on a lot of variables except one - you need to be fully prepared to act and act quickly when you spot the right car for you at anything near or at the right price. He who hesitates . . .

Yup!!! The Hendrick Chevy C2S is now at their Porsche dealer. Was previously listed at $73K and a Rennlister got them down to $70K.

Now ..... $77K !! Told you so ... was a great deal at $70K guys. Yes, this is the "wavy" upper door panel car. Not even a CPO on it!!

We've discussed this car a while back. Been for sale a while. Maybe a candidate for a descent discount. Start at $60K and hope for around $63-$64K.

Long history of being a CPO with every sale which means it's been maintained.

The Aerokit Cup (front bumper and rear spoiler was also added after the fact). Another bonus for most. In addition to the Sport steering wheel swap.

Ought to sit for a good long while. At $77k, they are way above market. This is either a bit of wishful pricing based on spring being right around the corner; or gives them the option to market it with "price drop" later, while still being above their original price. The games that are played, SMH.

Speaking of games, the Gulf (Mexico?) blue on Yachting blue 2015 C2S at Carousel Motors is now up to $84k. This car was listed at $78k just a couple weeks ago.

Default Now a HFS alumnus!

Happy to join this elite group, have been lurking here for several months, and just drove home my 2013 Coupe Guards Red/Black, from Hennessy Porsche in Roswell GA to Oakland MD. I am thrilled to be a Porsche owner again, traded my 2014 Corvette Stingray which I liked a lot! But missed the Porsche 911 DNA, so happy to be back in the family!

Have owned 22 previous Porsche's since my first Polo Red/Black 912 in 1967! Have shared a few of these with twin brother Steve, who is also close to pulling the trigger on a Racing Yellow Coupe.

Hennessy was great to deal with, sales associate Haylee Kerry was a pleasure to work with, a Porsche gal, and a real pro.

Car specs are 2013,Base Coupe, CPO through May 2019, GR/Black, MT, PSE, Sport Chrono, SPASM, PTV, PDLS, Premium Package, Bose, 20" satin black sport wheels.

Now on th a few mods....to make it mine!

.

About to come home with me!

Hayley Kerr

^^^^ Congrats GT3FZS! A beauty and great options! Thanks for sharing your story with us. First Porsche in 1967??

Many of us have a lot of catching up to do (myself included).

How was the drive back?
