HOT FOR SALE: Pick of the Week 991
#8161
I just traded in my 2014 CS with ~8,900 miles to Jack Daniels Porsche this week. Don't intend to plug the dealer or anything/or even know what it's priced at but would love to see it end up in a fellow RL'ers garage! I miss it already

I traded it for a PTS mexico blue GT3 so I'll be hanging out in that sub forum a bit more now!

My theory is that people in sales deal with all sorts of people and there a lot of bad interactions on a day-to-day basis (probably even more prevalent in car sales and high-end car sales more specifically). Because of these negative interactions, instead of seeing an easy-going (perhaps less demanding customer) as a person and a potential long-term relationship, they instead treat them as a "mark."

We are constantly discussing here how much margin dealers have in cars, would be interesting to see.

How about this cab that showed up at the dealer that sponsors this forum? If you like yachting Blue interior and Carrara White exterior

I'll say that the car is listed for under 10% more than what I got on trade in and that's before I factor in the tax benefits I got from trading in to a dealer.

It's not like these dealers are making more than $10K most of the time on these used $75K-$95K 991's. I'd assume $6K-$8K most of he time which would be ok with me.

Also on my Carrera S they CPO'd it so their margin isn't huge. I think a fair deal.
