Hey T, I posted this like 3 days ago. A Rennlister here jumped on it within the hour. I'm sure he'll follow up once he takes delivery and finalizes it all.
What post # George and sorry I missed it. I've gotta pay more attention Almost bought this car last week while hunting. I know, it's nothing like the description I gave for the hunt I was on but had such a great option list and was not far away. Glad someone from here jumped on it and posts it up. What a cool car T
^^^ Both buyer and seller are nice guys. Always good when a car goes to great new owner who'll appreciate it. The buyer literally saw this and committed to it within the hour or so. Sometimes you have to act fast or going, going, gone!
* correction Vintage72 (the seller) is the one who posted it. I had seen it listed previously on cars.com
A couple of concerns:
1) Both the front and rear bumpers were repainted. No "before" pictures but I do have the invoice to them from the 3rd party body shop which only shows the covers being repainted and no other damage repaired. They also screwed up and put "S" badging on after the painting -- it's not an S and I'm not a poser so they're going to fix that.
2) They have documentation from their CPO inspection and resulting service but no other maintenance records as they claim they didn't service the car. Are the dealers linked for maintenance records?
Without any haggling they told me on the phone that they'd take $66750 for it. Thinking that I'd offer them $62500 shipped closed carrier to Seattle. Thoughts?
The bumpers were probably scraped up a bit and thought it would sell earlier of repainted. Overall, better nice and fresh than messed up in my opinion.
As far as service records, if service was done at a Porsche dealer they would be in the system. From my guess, the previous owner just got a 10K oil change at a non Porsche dealer. Any CPO qualifying service was done at the current dealer. Judging by lack of dealer service notations and bumpers both needing a repaint, was probably owned by a non enthusiast. Not someone you'd find on Rennlist. Just your average, "I own a Porsche" SoCal bro.
Ok, as far as price. These guys price high as all LA dealers do. I think a fair price is low low $60's like you mentioned. I'd start at $60K and would not want to pay more than $62K or so like you mentioned. Mileage is great. I personally would want a set of eyes on it to judge the rest of the cars condition.
Just noticed a 2014 too which is great! Rhodium is a nice color too.
