Any cars at a Porsche dealer that have been punched regardless of never titled, new, or demo can be sold with a factory CPO warranty (if they meet the criteria). Obviously used Porsche's sold through a dealer can be CPO'd too.

New cars that have NOT been punched can't be sold with a CPO. Can you buy some third party warranty?? I'm sure. Have never investigated it. Not sure if any dealers have punched cars right before a sale in order to sell a CPO with it? I'd have to ask.

As far as the "demo", Porsche display/test car or whatever, read up here.

https://rennlist.com/forums/991/9198...vehicle-3.html

Also .. Only way to get a CPO is buy buying though a Porsche Dealer. Car needs to go through their inventory. You can't just drive up one day and buy one ala carte.

By the way, I hate when dealers advertise cars as new just because they've never been titled. Called about a great price on a car the other day, found out it was a demo with almost 20,000 miles.

911E, You mentioned the only discrepancy on this GTS were some small stone chips in the front bumper cover (FBC). I asked the SA for frontal pics and saw that this car had a license plate bracket to In negotiations and before the funds wired I asked to have the whole FBC fixed and repainted. GTS will be picked up in Atlanta next week and shipped to CT. T

Haha. Nicely done, and well played. Yes, I do recall seeing the front license plate. Sorry for forgetting to mention it! Don't they need to have one in CT? I suppose not!

It will take a few extra days to fix FBC but time is on my side. I won't get to see this GTS until next trip to CT-mid-April. Been driving in the NE off and on for over 45 years and have never been ticketed sans front plate. Yes, it is a requirement in CT. T

When does this group expect 2013 991 C2S prices for cars with low miles to drop below the $60k barrier. I'm looking to pick up a car with the following:

1. Silver/White/Black
2. PDK
3. 20" Carrera S in Platinum
4. under 20k miles
5. CPO
6. Sport Exhaust
7. Sport Design Front Fascia - not mandatory but really nice

I have an 06 S that I'd like to trade on this but I just want the price to start with a 5 for my wife's sanity. Please tell me if this is the wrong place to ask.

I think under $60k for your above specs (S with low miles with CPO, etc.) will be at least 1 year from now . . . . maybe much, much longer.

The 997.2 S's are in the mid 50's and well over 60's for low miles.

The 991.1's? Seeing a FEW select low MSRP S's in the low 60's now. These are low optioned ones. A lower optioned S with mileage over 30K or so will probably pop up towards the end of the year in the high 50's. This is not the norm though. Most will be a lot higher.

Most well optioned 991.1S's are in the upper 70's and up to mid/upper $80K's. All depends on year/miles.

Go back to day one of this thread a year ago. All the great deals posted then, would still be good deals today!

I think many 991.1 owners are more likely to hold onto their cars longer with the 991.2 turbo change.

I've just seen more cars available at great prices over the last 6 months, not necessarily prices dropping too much.

That's kind of what I figured, so thank you for confirming that it's the "punch" (and meeting CPO criteria) that is key, not the sold/titled/new/used aspect. Thank you, and back to the hot cars!

As far as service records, if service was done at a Porsche dealer they would be in the system. From my guess, the previous owner just got a 10K oil change at a non Porsche dealer. Any CPO qualifying service was done at the current dealer. Judging by lack of dealer service notations and bumpers both needing a repaint, was probably owned by a non enthusiast. Not someone you'd find on Rennlist. Just your average, "I own a Porsche" SoCal bro.

Ok, as far as price. These guys price high as all LA dealers do. I think a fair price is low low $60's like you mentioned. I'd start at $60K and would not want to pay more than $62K or so like you mentioned. Mileage is great. I personally would want a set of eyes on it to judge the rest of the cars condition.

Just noticed a 2014 too which is great! Rhodium is a nice color too.

My plan is to negotiate the price via email. Assuming that we get to a handshake deal in writing, I'd do a brief layover in LA (where the car is) on my annual trip to Scottsdale, AZ for Spring Training in two weeks. That way I get to see/drive the car in person, get a PPI done, and sign the paperwork after I'm satisfied with all of that.

Thanks for the sanity check on the deal. I'll let you all know how it turns out.
Unfortunately, no deal. The sticker was $69K. They came down to $66K and then wouldn't budge. The schmucks actually sent me the attached KBB info to let me know that this was a "great, great deal".

Oh, well. I'll keep looking...

STG, first of all, thanks for creating this great useful thread!
I recently sold my 2015 991 mainly because I hated the PDK. I lost a lot of $$ - but I was never able to really connect with the car through the PDK...

Now I am looking for a 991 S / 4S MANUAL (2012 - 2014). I am in Los Angeles, and ideally would love to find one local...only 2 Must have's : Manual and full Leather!

I am ready to buy now!!
......In case you see any Hot Deal!! Thanks!!

^^^ Good luck with your search. You'll learn a lot here. I went to elementary school on 6Speed too, but was time to move up to college on Rennlist!

I'm curious whether any U.S. buyers are looking to nab Canadian cars due to the exchange rate? CPO warranty remains the same and Canadian cars are exactly the same in terms of compliance except for the analog speedo which will always remain km/h.

I'm considering marketing my 2013 Carrera S with loads of options...
