Given the market, I know the car is overpriced (maybe by $5k-$10k?) but I’m keen on this color, the low options and the manual trans. This is probably how I would have spec’d it from the beginning.

Any thoughts? Feedback? This is my first Porsche and I’m pretty excited to join the club!

Half a year ago this would have been around 60k from a private seller. To be more precise there was a little higher spec'd white one with 12k miles for 60kUSD.

I'm not interested in a low end 991.1 911, but am here to say that over the years I have owned 6 Porsches with sunroofs,
None of them ever had any sunroof rattles, noises, squeaks or leaks. They all were maintenance free.
I wouldn't buy a 911 without a sunroof.

Seems pricey but if its the car you want buy it or you may be looking again for a long time. You will never tire off the guards red. My first P car was guards and I miss it so.

if you google the vin, you'll see it went RNM on PCarmarket a little over year ago. high bid was $41k. you'll find paint meter readings in that listing and it is pretty clear the car has had a non-trivial amount of paint-work. Might not matter to you but it will have an affect on resale value. I'm sure Friedman is aware of this.... IMHO he should have disclosed it to you whether you specifically asked or not.

This is exactly what this forum is for! I've learned so much here and try to contribute wherever I can.

According to the PCA listing, it looks like there was a door and rear end repaint. It's one thing to pay a premium for a cherry, non-molested car due to low mileage, but it is another when there's been the possibility of damage.

lucas.kent: If you're still serious about the car, send them the PCA listing and point out the paint meter readings. This WILL affect the value of the car in the future (meaning, it will affect it if you try to resell it as this thread along with the PCA thread will show up if someone searches for it).
If you are still serious about moving forward (with a discounted price I would assume), get an independent PPI. You stated that this dealership is known for selling very clean cars. This one is not if it's had paint work and wasn't pointed out specifically when you inquired.

A few days ago, I posted a very low optioned lava orange coupe (although it has 34K miles on it) for $75K plus a couple other cars that are in your price range. Look at all options as I'm sure you are.

This car is an S in guards red for similar money and very low mileage. Not a complete stripper model, but not a ton of options on the car either.
The fact that the other one has had paint work done and more than like zero documentation, I'd seriously look elsewhere UNLESS they make it worth your while.

I know this is a 992, however it may help with respects to current pricing:

File this under outrageous pricing. Having said that, a Dealer can ask whatever they think the market will buy.

This is a 2021 Base $114K MSRP, 1200 Miles 1 owner. Asking $130K, sold for $128K at a local used car outlet. It's actually a nice small shop with 35+ Porsche, MB, BMW, Tesla, Jag, etc...

2013 Yellow manual base with 47K miles for $70K
Clean carfax too. Hard to find these colors out there. Price seems about $5K too high, even for now, but it's newly listed. Wait at your peril.

although this is the 991 forum, I'd like to chime in that given a hfs 911 is non-existent in today's market, this probably is the most hfs p-car out there

https://bringatrailer.com/listing/20...ter-spyder-45/

anyone with sub 70k budget and can't find the 991.1 you want should give 987 spyder in general a serious thought

Yes, great spec. $140k sticker. Frankly I would be amazed if it doesn't hammer for at least that number. Very reputable seller on BaT.

Sounds like the sport exhaust activated while in sport plus.
