Senior Citizens such as myself, and those of us lucky enough to have the faculties required for sport driving, we don't have the luxury of "patience and it will happen in due time." The Grim Reaper is waiting for us. Delayed Gratification? I could delay my gratification if I know I would be living to a very ripe old age, remaining in good health, could still do a little "canyon carving"....but there are no such guarantees, The inevitable awaits us all. So when it came time to buy a full sized Porsche, had sold off the Cayman GTS, I thought through my options...996, never...997, more of the same, 991.1 3.8, hmmmm, I could drive one of these. 991.2 with a 3.0 and a 992 3.0.....I am not a Turbo guy, and the 992 cars were out off my budget (Budget being the $$$ amount I could sell to wifey).

Was I willing to wait for the STOP SELL order to go way, for the chip shortage to subside, not on your life. Wanting a CPO car, the STOP SELL edict just made it a little more interesting search. Did I need Sports Chrono? Not really, I had in in the Cayman S...The 991.1 PDK with Sport mode would be good enough...but in spite of the obstacles mentioned, I was getting one "come hell or high water", and I did. It has Sport Exhaust, a mandatory option, PDK and Sun Roof delete, a "unicorn" option.

No PSE on the 991.1 kills the deal IMO

No PSE on the 991.1 is a deal breaker for me

Seems like this would be a unicorn: 1-owner, 14K mile 2013 S Cab with a manual transmission. MSRP $132K, asking price is $80K.
Car had some mileage on it before it was "sold" in 2014 - about 596 miles. Not sure if it was a demo or an executive from the dealership drove i.

Default PSE, I have to on my 2013 991.1

PDK and PSE were "Must Have's" in my search. I found this little "unicorn" car...look at the enclosed Options Sheet, you may agree.

The "Ghost" option is 319 Engine Cooling for hot Climate. First weird thing, 319 does up as a 4 way power seat. So far none has been able to tell me what exactly is included "Engine Cooling for hot Climate" option....and the car does NOT have a center radiator.

I love ZAC, no sunroof...I don't like sunroofs. Shades of my former 73 911 T, 74 911, 2004 GTS and 2015 Cayman GTS....the tradition continues.

Good old days. I would love to see those MSRPs again! Today, that money buys you a base 992 with optional wheels only.

Clever indeed!

I had a family friend unexpectedly pass in his early 50 last month. Deeply impacted my way of thinking and thought there's no better time than to enjoy things you put off/wanted then the present, as you can go anytime. YOLO!

Enjoy yours in good health brother!

Mine didn't have it, but I found its not too difficult to retrofit the PSE. suncoast has the part broken down where you can re-use your current factory tips with their kit for $1800. Dealer puts it on for another $1200

This is pdk, but if certified seems like a fair deal:

Vinh, beautiful car. And the way your garage presents, also says a lot about you.

Carmax has the best pricing on 991’s. They seem to consistently be listed for $5-10k less than anywhere else. And because of that, they almost always get snatched up in less than an hour from the time they’re posted (like the above, which is already gone).

You would think that with all the data they have they’d realize that, but good for folks searching that they don’t.
