I'm in no rush and can hold off -In actuality I would actually rather hold off right now because though I have the funds put aside for the car, I don't think it would be wise to drive it to work in this current environment with so many folks on furlough/unemployed. It would literally be hiding in the garage

 

Strange market for the 991.2. This is what showed up in my CarMax. The 2017 .2 is a manual without SC. The 2016 .2 is a pdk with SC and SE. The difference is $4k

 

While I know that there is a large contingency of people on here who HAVE to have a manual and any PDK is just a sin...in reality, a manual for the majority of the public is a ding on the value of the car. I'll bet you if that 2017 was a PDK, the gap would be larger than $4k. Also, it's not apples to apples for another reason. The 2016 has only 7k miles and the 2017 has 10k miles. So a year older and 3k less miles. That's going to close the gap as well.

 

Interesting comparison. Odd that the 991.1 has its frunk open in that photo.

 

Stranger market for the .1. Nearly 5 years old and only 25% depreciation.

 

I don't see much of a price bump for either PDK or manual in the 991.2, but it is much more difficult to find a manual... Fewer manual buyers for a manual seller to have interest from, but the opposite is also true, when the car is right, the buyer can't easily find another.

PDK's without Sport Chrono, to me, are the bleh cars that you see all the time and are not appealing.

They've had that coupe for a while. Asking to much for it in this market.

My current one has the Sport Chrono previous one didn’t. I think it’s not that amazing. The clock looks ok but I never use Sport+.

 

I've used S+ during autocross & PCA events. Never on the street. I have no idea what it's good for in a street car.

 

Personally, I think not using Sport+ on the street, as long as they are wide-open streets, is missing out on the best characteristics of the car, at least that my experience in PDK 991s and MT 981s.
