Not on my car. The car tends to drive the set speed of the cruise control.

@CTDan Found it in Air Conditioning! It works to activate PSE.
Oh...I see you want to have PSE always active. This is the coding to enable the PSE button on the console assuming you have the correct hardware.

I found the setting to display "N" when in neutral. There are other settings to display gear selection, but I wish I could find a way for it to tell me what gear is selected before I release the clutch and start moving.

No, it isn't. My digital speedometer and the cruise control are equal to each other and both spot on with Waze and a Speedometer App on the iPhone. Off by less than 0.2 mph all the way from 15 mph to 90 mph.

But I think that my analogue speedometer is showing about 1 mph lower than the digital speedometer. But it may also be the angle at which I am looking at the gauge. Anyway, I rarely look at that anyway.

That's great - thank you.

Follow up question: Does anyone know if there is a code to set the Sport-Mode Button to "always on" or "remember last setting".

I'd love to drive in Sport-Mode, switch off the car, and then re-start in Sport-Mode right away again.

Any thoughts?

I think it's been disgusted on this thread. There is no way to program it but you can buy a hardward module for $200 that will do it for you but comments were that you shouldn't go into sport mode until car reaches temp so safer to leave as is and just switch manually. You can code the auto off/on.

Thank you. That's a fair argument. Given the whole list of stuff that I was able to program with this thing already, it's not a big issue. Still well worth it.

I installed the smart top in about 10 min max and it really is an awesome upgrade. The setup looks OEM and the option to change programming using console buttons and blinkers for status works really well. I'd highly recommend it.

This thing can do so many things. If anyone can figure out how to eliminate the hill brake hold on the manual transmission cars, you will be a hero!

I'd be interested in finding these Hill Hold settings, to see if they can be adjusted to activate at a lower "Tilt" threshold. My Hill Hold does not activate consistently on several "hills" with stoplights.

This is the coding I have seen to disable Hill Hold assist on the 982. It may be similar on your 991.

PSM (Porsche Stability Management): Function coding- Coding byte 1 – HOLD/Hill hold = Start-Off Assist HOLD/Hill Hold Off {Default: Start-Off Assist HOLD/Hill Hold On}

I love that feature on my mercedes and hate the fact that it only works on a hill on the 991 (I live in S. florida where the only hills are garbage dumps) . It would be great to be able to enable it even when car is flat. Have you been able to do that on the 982?

I am corresponding with a guy who claims to have coded his 981 to remember the last state for sports mode. I asked him for the coding that he used and am waiting a response. I will pass it along if I get it.

It is possible that I misunderstand what you want but when I am at a stoplight and I press the brake on my 982, the hold light comes on and I can take my foot of the brake without the car moving forward. The car then starts moving when I hit the accelerator. Here is a link to a Porsche video that explains it. According to this link the 991 has this feature.
