The pedals are Nice, the quality is top notch, but it didn't improve my driving feel as much when compared to the cables and shifter.

The eBay auction looks like it's for the GT3 RS. Do they fit the 991.1?

Yah I think the auction just has a mistake in the description. But if you buy them, just confirm with the seller they are for the 991.

These are the ones I used.

I've started looking again.....

Late February, I'll be ready to buy and I think I'm willing to pay whatever I need to get the right car (to a point). It's worth it!

Checked yesterday and noticed local P dealers have 991 SC inventory. Good luck

All I got from this video is that 991 cars are still depreciating but not as much as people expected. Also that the first year of the 991.2 is the best value right now in terms of depreciation


This was from last year, concluding that S model has better value. Well, that is if you can find one

My guess is for the buyer... I just agreed to buy a Dark blue 991.1 C2S PDK for 50k following a great PPI.

it seems C2S models with over 50k+ miles have bottomed out around the 48k to 50k price range.

just hoping that doesn’t go too much lower... but I hope it doesn’t considering there are lots of 997.1 C2S going for 44k to 55k with similar mileage. It’s the reason I moved my search up to the 991.1, just felt like I was getting more and better car.

Price will never be an issue if you never sell it. That’s my plan. Just picked up a 2019 991.2 CS2 MT with less than 2K miles. Could have bought a base 992 (w/ PDK) for the same money or less, but fell in love instantly, and had to have it.

Trade up is an interesting strategy. Would you get a 991 or 992? I am completely satisfied with my narrow-body .2 C2S MT with no desire for “more”. It was not easy to find my perfect spec.

Well, I assume it is for the buyer. My point is that the OP's title for this thread is not totally correct. Prices are not out of control. From what I gather, there were less cars for sale in 2020. That combined with the flattening of the depreciation curve for older 991.1 cars, it may have led to depreciation slowing down.

No one knows what the future is going to be. I assume that the 997 market (as some posters already mentioned) will be the floor for the bottom price of the 991. Four years ago, when I was active shopping in the HFS thread, the great deals were for low mileage 991.1S in the $70-80K range. Looking at how much my car is worth now if I sell/trade-in, it does indeed show a flattening of the depreciation curve and 2017 was a great year to buy.

My gut feeling is that there is a pool of potential buyers in the $45-50K price range (since they can justify it is the same as buying a new mass market car). However, as some have posted, that price range is for high mileage cars and most of the potential buyers don't want them.

I have a 2017 991.2 3.0. Coupe optioned at 114k Full leather. Carrera White Metalic/ Tan. Turbo wheels and Pano sunroof. 20K miles.Im in Scottsdale. Led lights. Xpell bra whole front. Not cheap, but an awesome car. Porsche 13 for me over 42 years.

Yes, 981 Spyder is one of my all time favorite Porsches and the first one of the 10-12 Porsches I’ve owned over past 30 years that I say I’ll never sell. I recently picked up a 981 Cayman S for track duty and also an 89 Carrera. I absolutely love the analog experience of the antique. I can run it to red line in several gears, something I can’t do in the other two without attracting unwanted attention from John Law. Just throwing out some options for someone with a $50k budget. Well not the 981 Spyder but the other two.

I am sure you know, but these are completely different cars. I have no regrets though, except I should've kept the GTS.
