My local dealer just confirmed the Stop Sale Order. I guess we will all have to wait and see what the resolution is for owners.

If Porsche is going to force me into software mods that alters performance over what was advertised on my 2015 GTS with 7,500 miles, they better be very generous, including buyback option.

Could they force that? Good thing there is no over the air software updates!

Very interesting that the Turbo and Turbo S are on this list. Now I am really curious! Glad I don't have Sport Chrono in my car (which is just a clock), with my luck I would get caught up in the nomenclature.

Sssssshhhhhhhhhhh!

Don't tell anyone. I just think all the various 911 variants confused them. "Mum" is the word!

Porsche probably can't, but government regulators could force it by refusing to register your car if the modification has not been done. I think that happened in some states with the Audi and VW dieselgate

Looks like it's just the Panny Turbo/Turbo S, not the 911.

So you think this is just because some of us have “a clock”? The Clockgate? The Sports Chrono is more than just a clock. Maybe you just have Sports Chrono envy... (or at leadt had ).

Sorry guys I just polluted all over Huntersville NC a few minutes ago. I sport plussed all over with a giant smile the whole time. Thanks Porsche USA for building this pollution machine. It is fantastic! I don’t care what ya told me, it’s worth it!

I did the same this morning in my 911/50. Sport Plus all over the backroads of Alabama.

Funny thing about emissions. When I took my 08 Cayman and 88 911 to Germany for three years to live and bought the 911/50 while I was there, the German vehicle inspection didn't even check tailpipe emissions. The rest of the inspection in so in-depth that probably 85% of the cars on the road in the US wouldn't pass, but for all of the European "Go Green" hysteria, they don't even check the emissions out of the exhaust. Confusing.

For anyone interested, there has been a discussion on this this issue on the 997 forum related to the 997.2 DFI engines here:

https://rennlist.com/forums/997-foru...2-engines.html

I'm hoping that it is "sport-chrono gate" rather than a "DFI gate"

They better not force me to bring it in and reduce Sport+'s power. I need it to pass on one-lane highways.

I'm in the process of purchasing a 2015 GTS now ... from CarMax so I'm sure it won't be yanked ... but concerning given no one seems to really know what the issue is here.

I have also been searching for GTS or GTS spec (including Chrono package) for over a month now, and I haven't seen any vehicles disappear in the last couple of days, including from Porsche dealerships. That includes ones in CA.

In any case, feel free to blame me and my impeccable timing after 14 years away from Porsche ownership!
