I am having a little bit of an issue decoding the marketing and their response. On the product page for the Chstek HU it says this about 4G and the US I assume this means that 4G is not supported in the US, I assume that is not a big deal if I will always use with my phone for Carplay, and wifi at the house for updating.
The also message me with the following: I assume I say I don't need 4G because it appears they don't have a solution.
Also they sent this and said this about the MOST box, is this true for all MOST boxes that they only support 2 channels if you have BOSE?
I got the same 4G question and told them I wanted that feature and they responded to me with the fact they had my unit with US/N America 4G feature. So apparently my unit will have 4G capabilities in the US. I'll test with a data only sim from my carrier when I get the unit.

Same here. Ordered, I clarified that I would like it to work with 4g in the US and they said ok.
So I guess that means they have seen the fix, but they will not be updating.
I provided CHSTEK with the "Erisin brightness fix" some weeks back and subsequently advised them that it works on their unit. It can be applied very easily once you get the CHSTEK unit installed, so not a big deal.
I think there may be a confusion over which software controls what... I've installed the latest CHSTEK CANBUS software from the proprietary "App Store" on the unit. It's an APK installer and I *think* it may be the software for the GUI that controls car settings.
The "Erisin brightness fix" by comparison is a tiny (38k) .bin file and installed from the factory set-up screen. This feels much more like a "hotfix" for the CANBUS decoder. I've tried looking elsewhere to understand the architecture here, but I'm still not 100% clear and would welcome input!

Thanks!
Correct - all of these MOST adapters are 2 channels BUT the speakers in the rear can be made to work, albeit not with full fader support. Please see info from @ZedZed earlier in this thread.

Soooo, back up cameras.. Did you guys change any settings? Mine works every time, but i have 2 gripes with it.
1st- The quality is lacking. Mind you, its visible in both day and night, but its almost like there is TONS of clarity/contrast and its blown out. Just straight up bad quality. This is the exact camera im using, i think others use it too.
2nd- I have searched high and low to have a delay on turning off (going from reverse to drive). Unfortunate, the unit does not recognize the camera as "BackCam".. I can see the delay setting for "backcam" but for the normal reverse imput, it doesnt work. SHould i look and see if there is another input on the headunit harness?

That looks like a decent camera to me. Have you tried adjusting the brightness and contrast to see if you can improve the PQ? There's an onscreen button to allow adjustments of the image on my unit.
I don't think you can take a different feed from the harness - there are only RCA jacks for front and rear camera and, AFAIK, only the power feed for the backup camera will trigger the HU to go into reverse camera mode. You could try leaving the trigger wire alone I guess and hook up to the front camera RCAs, but if the RCAs are linked to their respective power wires that won't work.
On my Panamera, the OEM camera stays on the reverse image for several seconds after reselecting drive, and only goes off when the car reaches a predefined speed of a few mph. But on the Cayman, with an aftermarket backup camera, the image disappears as soon as you put the car into drive. I actually prefer the Cayman method TBH. I don't see the point of seeing the view behind me when I am moving forwars. But I guess it is useful when manoeuvring in a 3-point turn (K-turn) to not have the image disappear and reappear each time you select drive/reverse, although this has never bothered me. What would concern me is a delay when selecting reverse before the image appears onscreen, but on the Cayman it is close to instantaneous.
Watch this space on point #2 - a couple of us are investingating if we can hack into the config to adjust the delay. We are only at the theoretical stage right now, and even if it is possible we may find that it adjusts the same parameter that you already tried through the app, rather than one that actually works!
It'll probably take a couple of weeks to see if we get anywhere and we'll let you all know if we have any success..
just installed mine, so far so good. its pretty fast and the screen looks vivid, and visible in very bright sun light..
the sound of the music/radio is good to me so far, i have Bose sound and i added most box & can bus decoder to it..
i have to tweak & play with it more
