Spoke with dealer they are receiving 2-3 allocations already have a bidding war 2-300 over msrp.

Anyone want a Voo Doo RS around 1k miles add a CGT 7k miles both perfect - the P world is tougher than F world.

You guys that state GT2RS production for everyone who can stroke a check are full of beans!

Sour grapes perhaps glad I put down a deposit 488 GTO.

My understanding 2 or 3 total.

Porsche can yap all they want - after the 918 boys (who also yap) club they don't care about what goes on.

What?

You own the RS and the CGT presumably because you like them? But if you cant buy a GT2RS you wont like them any more (and are therefore going to sell them)? That'll really stick it up to Porsche wont it?

Ferrari is cool and all, until they tell you there is 9 million other people ahead of you in line and then you're stuck waiting for the special cars forever. At least their regular cars come quick

By the time the lap time of the GT2RS is posted and faster than the 918 Spyder, who really thinks the GT2RS will be easy to acquire?

Hmmm, shaping up to be another 991R exercise....sad, very sad. Again, I'm glad I also don't have any interest in this car.

Default bummer...

I was 2nd on the GT2RS list at my dealer after their 1st 918 guy. Thought I was looking good until last night when dealer told me their 2nd 918 guy now decided he wants the car. Bumped to 3rd spot now and my dealer is not sure they will even get 2 order spots! This obviously would have been so much easier if I just tossed $900k at a 918 first. Silly me

You missed the premise - Porsche doesn't care.

Ferrari has a program into their brand - age assets minimum of three (LE's are helpful) Tifosi Ferrari driving track schools F1 Tifosi and so on all of which I enjoy.

Ferrari does not allow dealers to sell above MSRP - so there is a reward plus a Ferrari dealer has an estimated 50 cars allocated per year.

Porsche - as you state same goes regular cars not only come quick but are sitting at dealers. Ferrari 95% of their production has a sold tag with a customers name attached. Two totally different experiences but for those who have the original energizer bunny ... go fish!

It's simple 918 or the highway - would rather go where I am wanted

On non limited cars, the 918 VIP allocations are suppose to be "on top" of the normal allocation to the dealership for that model. GT2RS is not a numbered nor limited car so the allocation to the 918 VIP customer should not have counted against the dealership, so your sales person maybe moving you down the list for another "reason". Numbered/limited cars are a totally different issue. Maybe one of the dealers here can give clarification to that VIP allocation policy by PCNA.

I don't think so.

There have been a total of only 286 Spyders (918) sold in the US in '14, '15 and '16. One, so far, in 2017.

My guess is Porsche will send more than 287 GT2 RS cars to the US. A lot more.

All this meaning, in the unlikely event every 918 owner in the US bought a GT2 RS car, there would still be quite a few left
