How many thousands did they charge for the deviated stitching

It was free, and standard of the abarath, similar to what Porsche charges. Mark

Thanks Mike. They are really a blast to drive. The exhaust note on this car is really great and especially as the turbo spools up in high RPM's. Really could not pass it up at $18,875 for a convertible abarath. (Price of a brake upgrade on the GT3)

You suppose PCNA will pay for the car as compensation to my emotional distress? Mark

Nice Abarth! I just sold a Mini JCW hatchback. Loved having a little 2800lb car with torquey motor.

I have to admit: I'm completely torn about this whole mess. I got really lucky, and as able to snag May 16'th delivery allocation in January. I was originally thinking of doing a European Delivery, as I have a trip to Stuttgart planned for mid September...BUT, I couldn't pass up this May allocation - so I put a deposit on the car and have been patiently waiting. Then THIS 'stop sale' hits and drags on with no end in sight.

Now, I'm wondering what to do??? Keep the allocation for May (a bird in hand....) or call the dealer, cancel the May car, and set up a September PU in Germany?????
It's a rhetorical question....but I do wonder.

Mini JCW - also deviating stitching at no extra cost! Similar to Fiat Abarth...and Porsche!

I have been reading Reenlist ever since I knew about the stop sale. But finally decided to register. I am waiting on my Gt3. Delivery day was supposed to be 3/7/14. I can certainly sympathize with many regarding this matter. Truth is that this car had so much hype so for me to have a shot at it was a privilege. Now it feels more like a heart burn. My car is stuck in Houston port since 2/27. I got the call and the letters and email...and I have to admit I'm losing sleep over this matter. I call it PPSD ( post Porsche stress disorder)

Nice car. I love the mini JWC. I have driven them on track and on street. They are a blast, and very easy to drive. Love the interior! Mark

Spent the day at Sebring International Raceway, first fan day, the week culminates with the 12 Hours of Sebring. While we enjoyed our day at the track, my wife and I found it very ironic that all the United Sport Car Series teams were prepping their 991 GT3 Cup cars, visiting tech inspection, running around the paddock, and practicing on the track.

For us the 991 GT3 ticks all the boxes
Track focused
Normally aspirated
Automated manual gearbox (my wife has tried, but is eternally flustered by a manual gearbox)
A true driver's car

It doesn't hurt that the 991 GT3 is also drop dead gorgeous.

We don't see any alternatives in the ~$150k USD range, so here we sit with no real news from Porsche.

Ran into David Donohue again he mentioned that a friend who was a previous exec in ALMS has one on order, it was held at the port in Emden and Porsche has provided him no additional information beyond the releases we have seen. David is coaching for Kelly-Moss racing and mentioned he overheard a discussion about wire harnesses possibly related to the GT3, but it could have been completely unrelated to the stop sale.

I knew you were. Amen brother.....I was trying to help you, make your point as I can assure you the boys at PCNA are reading our comments on a daily basis. Just in case they missed your jab, I figured I am going to help you drive the point home. Mark

Love the mini JWC, and would have loved to buy one but they are a bit pricy. But I could not resist at $18,750 for new convertible Abarath. It is not quite as torquey as the JWC mini, but it is still not bad, and handles great. The JWC is a bit stiff for street use, but really great on the track. The Abarath has more compliant suspension and especially on the street, but still decent sharp handling and I love the 2400 lb light weight.

If Porsche continues holding our GT3 hostage for too long, I might just bite the bullet and buy the JWC mini as well and send them the bill for both cars. Mark
