I understand the twitchiness... But, be patient. Seriously. Porsche isn't the first company to have to deal with a serious issue like this. And this isn't Porsche's first time, nor will it be their last.

When things are going well, we all love their cars. Remember that love. Remember it.

Now, let's wait for something official. Speculation, rumors, ugh.

The $5k was paid to your dealership. Ask them about it. Not sure how it is in TX, but in CA no matter what anyone tells you, there's no such thing as a non-refundable deposit to a car dealership. CA Consumer laws in effect.

Yep. It's official..You loose the interest too.. LOL.. Who knows.. but I bet you could transfer you allocation to someone. I'd buy it if I didn't already have one.. --While were at it.. if anyone wants to sell me an RS allocation, let me know. (might have to chg license to 9500, but no worries)

Interest? Please. I had 10k sitting at a Ferrari dealership for 3 years when there was an actual interest rate on cash. I just think the process is moronic to move the freeze date earlier than the scheduled date while halting production. What's official is that this process from the beginning has been botched by Porsche. I am still waiting for my sport buckets,

Most States you are entitled to a refund along with interest. The only exception is if the car is unique and in very limited quantity. I doubt the Gt3 would qualify. It is a souped up 911.

I think it legally not possible for them to accept a non refundable deposit.

Default Received a phone call from Porsche today?

Hello all, I haven't been looking at this section for a little bit, but I did a quick search and find nothing. Actually, I am trying to block the GT3 out of my mind and when it shows up, it shows up.

Anyway, a nice young lady from Porsche called me today to tell me that the engineers are hard at work trying to solve the current issue. I questioned why she called, and she said as an informational courtesy. She had no idea as to when production would resume.

I asked half playing" you are still building other 911 models, correct?" " I was considering buying a Turbo S and cancelling my GT3".

Her reply was, "I wouldn't recommend that, as you may not be able to get another chance at a GT3"

I asked if my 3-23 delivery was possible still, and she said no. She said she would call back when she had more to report, and thanked me for choosing Porsche.

I would imagine others who have cars on order received similar calls.

Keep the faith, our cars will be built eventually.

Rich

Im just reading a lot of "don't worry guys Porsche will figure it out" stuff over and over and getting more and more sense from the reps that they have no idea whats going on...at what point will you start thinking...maybe this really is going to be more of a thing than I had previously thought and even the mighty Porsche people are in deeper **** than they previously surmised? Not to be negative but wow this is getting old.

Ya, got a call saying they had no idea what was going on yet. I refrained from being snarky and saying I was standing in a Ferrari dealer at the moment...
