Righto. I like to think of it that we both get a raw deal but that Australia has the addition of luxury tax, stamp duty, import duty etc.

I "grey market imported" my 991 GT3 to NZ and landed including options and ORC it came to "only' $168,000 USD at the time (probably similar to a slightly better optioned car in the USA). That was due to savings on importing myself plus a generous compensation payment from PAG re the engine recall which helped subsidise my purchase :-)

It would be a good idea for PCA to try to negotiate a deal with an insurance company for their DEs?At least for street legal cars it wouldn't be to hard?
I believe a lot of other P clubs around the world has this in place.

PCA does have something in place for DE's. I don't know the particulars but you can check out the link below for more info.

Marco. I'm told beginning of week 17. I have no idea when that is but end April beginning May I think. Cars then will start being delivered beginning of June if this is true...

I do not think the performance numbers are enough for me to want to take the jump from the GT3. But, in all reality, this is not going to be a car for me any way. This will be all about lap times and that is not to say, that one could not argue that the GT3 is not really suited for me because I do not track. Although, I think in the Spring I am going to give it a shot. I have been very satisfied about the DD ability of the GT3. I find it very compliant on the street and when I want to let her rip the performance is right behind me. The RS will be a beast on the track - that is for certain

Jimmy to be perfectly frank if you are considering GT4, GT3 or RS for the type of miles you are driving the GT3 is by far the better choice and the sweet spot for a combination of DD, fast road and track...

Week #'s seem a European thing, week of April 20th...
Lets hope I can pick it up before June to use it in Europe summer 2015....

I don't care if they call it a 2015 or 16.

My take on the future is there will be no traditional RS gen 2. There will be a PDK GT3. I am starting to believe the GT3 will be removed end of 2017 perhaps with a last run manual only RS!! I think we are watching history in the making with the GT4 and its demand along with a change in motorsports application to "960" based platform from 2020?will signal the end of the GT3 moniker..,

Pretty certain they will run off mostly demo, press cars and factory staff cars in the first cheek or two production but here's hoping for you peter. I certain cars will start to be received by customers in Europe before high summer in July...
